What a joke ... good luck saying it is light, lighter okay but not light and damn so bulky ...

Really these days there are so many better alternative than Spe than I wonder if they really put effort and care into emtb or they put an intern managing the branch without experience and vision.
That conviction sounds like you must know how much it weighs… or simply talking out your ass. Which is it?

What if you mess up your body position and went nose heavy? A 160 front have a higher chance to save you. Even the pros make mistakes at times when riding new trails.
Whats great is Specialized is strong enough to create -er, specialized bikes for different applications. Perhaps the Levo you’re looking for has been available all along.

A 170 have an ever higher chance to save you so guess why R is 140.....

That’s why 160 and 170 are the most popular forks for emtb. There is a reason nobody is using 140, ask Spe 6 months from now, no matter the riding style. 140 is just not safe on a heavier e bike.

Can’t you just buy a 160 or 150 fork and Change the length ? It might add a few grams but buy the 600 watt battery it’s exactly why the reviewer did with the handle bars
I’d change quite a bit but try keep it at 20 kgs front fork maybe the brakes but SRAM breaks are very capable and I’m to pretty sure Specialized didn’t slam brakes on last minute it’s been tested over and over and that goes for the travel aswell positive they have had all types of rider sizes weights computer simulations etc to test exactly how the bike would respond and react
For those that don’t like it , cool , me personally cannot wait to take it out and ride LIKE SUPER SUPER EXCITED and to the haters well life definitely unfair 😝🤣🤣🤣🤣

This bike isn't designed around a 160mm fork. Looks at the rear end on this thing and the fact it has a 130mm travel. It's meant to be a light duty trail bike. Fitting a 160mm fork is completely defeating the purpose of it.

If you want a 150/160 bike go buy the normal Levo or one of the many other similar offerings out there.

Already got one , so the longer fork would mess the way the bike handles ? Or rides ? Or both ? Sorry I’m not very technical I just climb on and ride if it’s fun I buy it

No need to wait 6 months for the answer when it's available today.
R is developed for a more "laid-back" type of riding.

Excuse my ignorance but I change all my bikes , bike shop loves me but if I put a 150mm fork on changed the front tube angle to higher (I believe you can) that would be the only change that would affect the geometry
Would it be such a major difference in riding feel , also thinking to out 600 watt battery which gives me like a kg to work with (to keep bike at 20kgs ) probably put the Ohlins 36 M3 I’ve got the 38 on my bike now and I like it
I’m no professional only riding about a year or so love jump parks and enduros but again not a pro , do a few longish distance races 45 to 85 km
Would this bike be ok for the above or would changing the length be a major change stuffing the whole bike up

If you like jumps and enduro riding and already have a normal Levo 4 then I see no reason for you to buy this bike, this thing is not really designed with that type of riding in mind. Just buy a 600wh battery when they become available for the bike you already have.

So it's is all about Bike weight. Fat dude with light amish Bike with 140 Fork is safer than light dude on his ebike with same fork?

The Levo 4 has been a sales failure, with only 14% of production reportedly sold.
There are strong rumours that the Levo 5 will feature the Gobau P125 engine to compete with the Avinox M2.
On what grapevine are you hearing this? I feel like we would be seeing bigger discounts if they have that much leftover stock.

whats the gaboopoo p125 engine? interesting their going combustion and not with another motor. Im surprised they publically annouced their sales figures too.

I don't think it's much better than what they already have.

FFS, in that case we’d all better start running 200mm front ends, just in case we ‘need saving’…? 🙄

Remember folks, guns don’t kill people, medium travel Californian designed e-bikes do… 😂

it‘s perfect for people who need full suspension ebikes that never sees a trail in it‘s life

What rubbish, we were riding trails before 140mm front forks were a thing, heck even before suspension forks were a thing.

Why do we think ‘mountain biking’ is all of a sudden different just because we have a motor to assist?

New Levo R. 130mm rear, 140mm front, 29" wheels, Motivate brakes, s-works S3 weight 21.23 kg. Right triangle is the same as the Levo 4, only the rear triangle changes to accommodate the 29" wheel. I believe this triangle can be installed on the Levo 4 for those who want to use 29" wheels on the Levo 4. Otherwise, I didn't see any advantage. My customized Levo 4 weighs 21.7 kg. Hahaha
