Hey team, bit of a long shot here. I'm doing trans taz on my ebike and I can't fly with a battery obv.
I need a bosch horizontal 600 or 800 from 13th till 22nd. I fly in/out of Hobart on those days too.
I'll obviously pay. This is more plan B, otherwise I'll just buy a 600 and sell it when I leave.

I did a tassie trip a couple of years back it would have been awesome to take the E bike but it just got too hard. There is a place that hires them, it was eyewateringly expensive to hire. Like 50% the cost of a new battery.

Also there's multiple configurations of bosch batteries. Gen3 are no good for gen 4 and gen 4 is a different size to gen 5 plus if think theres vertical and horizontal pin configurations too. The changes of the wrong battery is high.

Yeah I've reached out to that place. They don't specifically list the latest Gen bosch battery, but I am ever hopeful.
The battery rental was pretty reasonable I thought 🤷
There's only 2 variants of 600/800. Think I'm safe

If its not on your itinerary check out Tassie Queenstown. There's some good trails there too.

PS I assume Derby and Maydena are on the list. Derby would be fantastic on an E. Your'd get so much more vert per day.

Here's some Tassie QT shots

Yeah bro, I'm super pumped about it. We ride all those places! I really like the multi day race things. You get to cover a heap of ground, you might not otherwise have.

Ok, so its an actual event? Got a link?

This pretty much gives the gist of it all 🙂

Did you have any luck with the battery hire. I m heading to Derby in September and been a Bosch 600 or 800wh

Hey mate,
I ended up buying one but it was mad expeny! Was 1900 nzd 🫠

It's currently in Melbourne, for sale coincidentally.
Gen 5 was too new to find any for hire!

How was the event? Got any pics or footage.

Ps sounds like you might have a buyer for that battery if you can get it on the flow boat to Tassie.

Pss. Id fucken love to do an e week In tassie. The mtb 10 days we did was awesome. We would have smashed so much more down if we had e's

Tas is great riding for sure, well it was till it wasn't. Here's 2 notable pictures from the event.

I'd sell that battery for 900. If it doesn't sell, I'm just going to make a point of going back 🤷
