Some people are experiencing a strange noise when using Walk Mode after the update. I'm also experiencing this with my Levo.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Can you share some more insights with us? What kind of noise? How loud is it?

Tried to upload a video, but it doesn't work here?
There is a post at facebook too where more people have this noise (there is a video too)

The guy in the video (not my bike) is holding the brakes gently to simulate a hill in walk assist mode. But the noise comes at my bike too, initial when the walk assist starts to work and then goes away.

It's a very loud noise, like a grinding sound. It's impossible to miss.

Well, there are several people in the Facebook post who have this noise- including myself and the author of the post.

That us the original post
Ohhhh. I only noticed one user. I'll check mine when I finally get my Levo out of the shop. 😒

The more I ride trails that are techy with quick climbs and descents, the more I WOULD LOVE a coast shift feature to be implemented. More than any additional power or anything else. Just make it so that I can click my shifter and the engine will twist just enough to switch gears on the sprocket.

Now that I can remember I noticed a kind of grinding noise as well when I did my 1st ride with the FW update. It didn't last as long as that FB video. Just for about a second or 2. I will test it again later on.

Are they also getting new firmware soon?
Probably Levo Evo with 600 watt battery lighter components
And Levo R extended chain stay longer travel forks coil rear shock maybeee trickstuff brakes (only breaks probably wilder than maven Ult ) who knows 🤷‍♂️

The user in the video explained that he was lightly applying the brakes in walk mode to simulate an incline (like a hill). On my Levo, there's a noise for about 1-2 seconds right at the beginning (when walk mode starts working). However, the noise reappears when there's more resistance while pushing (e.g., an obstacle or a steeper incline).

I just performed the update on my Levo. It took 7 attempts. Wanted to share that after 6 failed attempts, I turned off all other Bluetooth devices in the area and then the update went through successfully. Could be a coincidence but wanted to share my experience with others in case it helps. Good luck.

Also should add that I also have the horrible sounding Walk mode bug after the update. Guess I’m going to have to clear everything until they come up with a patch. 😆

Okay, not so good. But maybe it's not a bug but a feature 😁 How do you plan to clear everything? Its not possible to restore firmware to a previous version or is it?

I meant I’m going to have to successfully ride over everything so there’s no hike-a-bike involved where I’d use Walk mode. Apologies for not communicating better.

si, un ruido inquietante como de metal rozando

Moderator edit :

Yes, a disturbing noise like metal scraping

I have no idea how the motor works but it sounds to me like a gear isn't moving completely out of the way or not fully engaging. My concern is long term effects if its gears grinding. Spech surely will be fast tracking a patch. Luckily I almost never use Walk mode.

Went for a little ride today. Wife and i both have the update available but haven't done it as seen a few issues with the weird noise in walk mode. Not sure if we're being overly cautious.

Have heard/ seen about the walk mode noise from several people who have updated. Keep in mind that the firmware update is still in Beta, henc3 why Spesh is asking for feedback. To me, it's imperative that riders give that feedback to them, too, in addition to complaining about it online.

I can't remember last time I used Walk mode.
Funny thing today was the first time I’ve used it and I had to cause my front wheel wouldn’t spin there was to much mud packed onto the tyer and packed into the front mudgaurd 🤯 had to pop it up onto the back wheel and walk it out of the mud channel I was stuck in don’t actually know if it helped I was to busy swearing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
