Really struggling here, I'm in the market for a new bike & have a dilemma. Head says Amflow PL Pro.Heart says Haibike ALLMTN CF11 TRN IQ (Belt & combined drive & gearbox).?🤯 Both currently in various sales at great prices. Also I've never ridden a Pinion a combined gearbox & motor set up, so nervous but feel I'm my heart it's the way forward 🤔🤯 Words of Wisdom please?

Buy the one with the nicest colour and sex appeal, YKIMS. :)

Buy the one that you can't walk away from without looking back!
But the one that makes you WANT to ride your bike.

Look at the new commencals, base model is 6k dji motor,in stealth black, much better specced than an amflow, amflows look bland, but if you want an amflow, wait until new models come out with the new motor.
Haibike looks nice, but has cheap components on it,if you can,id wait a bit.

That’s the problem, my heart says Haibike but being unable any sort of a meaningful demo ride on a what is an unknown (to me) system just appears unattainable! Which is why I’m trying to seek out some real life actual owner feedback because in all honesty it’s a very big ask to sink £7k+ into an unknown quantity. Leaving me with all the conventional choice’s & decisions to make on a description or review.🤔 it’s like being asked to be an early adopter, based on nothing but a promise, where as if I could only ride one for an hour, then I could & would make an instant informed decision 👍

Hi mate, I’m wavering too! Have sat on one and played with gears but that’s it. My choice is between the Pinion and Balfes absolute bargain Trek EXE though. Cheers

Maybe say where you are based.

If anywhere near the North East of England Inspiral Cycles at Bishop Auckland have a demo bike.

Those 2 bikes will ride so much differently than each other. You must test ride. Then choose the one that best suits your style of riding.

If you cannot test ride. I would not buy the one you cannot test. It's too much coin not to test.

As far as looks. You can always customise the graphics later. But what you cannot do is easily change the bike if it doesn't ride as well as the other.

BTW. If you really cannot test ride. You need to find a video of someone who rides similar terrain to you, riding the bike. Finding a video of a Numpty like "Alex the bike tester" riding easy greens, when you smash technical blacks, is useless.

It goes the same with any forum members comment. If they don't ride your terrain, with your aggression level. Their opinion loses significance.

Cheers, Absolutely my thoughts too👍 As a result I’m starting to shift my decision & although I remain convinced that a a combined gearbox, drive & belt system remain the way forward, without test riding one I can’t commit. This is a shame but also a pointer for the dealers. “If you want to sell what are currently ‘Left Field’ bikes, then you must have demo stock available”. So currently looking at the, Amflow, Atherton ebike & the Forbidden Core E.😜👍 They all fit in with what I ride.

Amflow PL Pro ordered, arriving next week👍

Trouble is everybody has a different view and opinion. I've ordered the AllMtn CF 10 TRN/IQ from The Electric Bike Shop and they offer test rides for a 20% returnable deposit. I'm not a pro-rider and what I class as a one-bike owner. Had my Cube Stereo EMTB for 5 years and decided that I would only replace it if I could get something that was different in terms of technology. I've been hankering after a pinion gearbox and belt drive bike for the last couple of years and now that a few manufacturers have this option combined with The Electric Bike Shop chopping a grand off this version I could not resist. I will test ride it but TBH unless the wheels fall off it or the frame snaps in two I will be buying it.

NOOooo, don't do that, you'll get over 1,000 words of regurgitated mediocre slop.

All I intended was for Greg to produce some bikes for @Riftzoner 's consideration that he may not have thought about or even known existed. I'm sure he's an intelligent chap like the rest of us and will do his own research.
Use Greg as a productivity tool, not as your actual homework. You can easily sort the wheat from the chaff.

I took delivery of mine a few days ago. The bike is great but the FIT E-Bike Control app is a pile of crap as far as I am concerned.

Right from the start it has been painful. Could not get it to scan the QR code on the keycard to start the registration process and had to uninstall the app several times before it did.

Have done one ride and data appeared with route map but couple of hours later it disappeared. Contacted FIT and they said it was a known issue which will be addressed with a future hotfix.

Next issue I managed to work out how to set units to imperial and English so bike display shows mileage but ride data shows metric! Can't find a way round that.

Found out that you can't access it via desktop and that it doesn't link directly with Strava. However, did find out that you download to .FIT file then use upload in Strava and this did work OK.

Time clock on bike display is one hour behind but I cannot find any settings that allow me to change this - not for lack of trying.

So the control app is supposed to allow you to customised all the settings such as ECO, Flow, Flex and Fly. I found the right area in the app but only available when the bike is switched on so if I want to make these changes I have to head into the garage and turn the bike on then make the changes!!! Only problem is I changed ECO, for example, from 60% to 80% power contribution then saved my changes or at least I thought they had been saved but when checking back it had reverted to 60%.

Never had this kind of crap when using E Bike Connect for my Cube so my view at the moment is the app is a pile of shit.

Does anybody have any words of encouragement or perhaps you have had a similar experience to mine.

I’m just about to place an order for one, that does sound like a totally crap app. I’m coming from Spesh and theirs is brilliant so I’m not sure I’ll be loving Fit!

Let me know how you get on with the app. In theory you can do all sorts of good things using it by customising settings to increase power or extend range. Maybe I've been unlucky or something else is causing issues with the app so would be interesting to see if anybody else shares my experience using it.

Worth an ask on this FB group - seems a recent update adds imperial units option.
