Why are we enshitifying every single thread with this inaccurate bot? I'm not sure it has posted anything correct so far.

One of the reasons reddit has gone down the drain is all the bot activity.
Im testing it - dont worry im deleting it afterwards.

As a Phoenix-metro resident, I'd like to support Pivot but I have two issues with this bike that seriously impede consideration.

The first is the motor being restricted to Class 1 without hacking it and jeopardizing the warranty. This is a deal breaker for me all Bosch bikes share.

The other challenge is how the models are spec'd and priced. You either pick the $9k Ride model with Fox Performance series suspension and cable shifting; or you go for a $12,600 Pro model with XO and a Podium fork. The Pro isn't priced badly, but I feel the Ride should be less expensive and a model slotted between with GX and Fox Factory 38 (or Performance Elite) fork and shock.

This bike looks like a winner right out of the gate. I think they were well into development once the Avinox came out and being Pivot, they wanted manufacture support and Bosch has a great network in place. The only downside I see is the protrusion in the front to accommodate battery removal without dropping the motor. Pivot is right down the road from me and rides on the same terrain I do so maybe I’m wrong on the down tube impact concern.

Some will say why didn’t Pivot go Avinox with their slim battery combination? Who really knows but I suspect someone will ask the owner and he will give us the reason. I have ridden the Bosch CX and Race CX, and both are plenty for this platform.

Too funny. I agree 100%. I was just thinking this exact thing as I was reading the first post. The only reason I won't own a Bosch motored bike is because you cant make it class 3. Where I live there are no laws for class 1 or class 3. It doesn't matter how fast it goes. I love my Levo that you can set it at class 3.

With respect to the class 3 I agree. I ride 1.5 miles to the trail and obviously the same back. It’s just a smooth dirt road with a speed limit of 25MPH. I hit class III and this boring ride is done very quickly. Hopefully Bosch will do an update and at least conform to regional areas to allow some flexibility.

Sure looks to me like a Podium without kashima. I believe this image is from Pivot HQ if that means anything.

I feel like the bike looks awesome. I like the Bosch cx motor and if anyone wants to be able to go faster than the 20mph limiter allows you could always drop $100 and buy a Speedi device. Takes 10 min to install and allows pedal assist to 28mph.

The cost is money; and your warranty becoming voided. That’s not trivial issue IMO.

I've heard directly from Bosch that HQ are evaluating increasing the speed limit and expect to have an answer by end of Feb.

Factory authorized Class 3 capability (like the other two big-name MTB motor platforms) would be a game changer for many of us.

This would make me consider a Bosch bike. Right now Id only own a Levo or Amflow. Where I live, there are no laws on top speeds for ebikes.

It's very annoying for those who want an easily removable battery too. The only bike which has a removable battery and 45km/hr speed limit where I am is the Levo, and it is very expensive for what you get.

Hopefully they decide to go ahead with increasing the speed limit even if it needs to be upgraded with dealer software.

I don't mind not having a removable battery if the bike has a decent extender.

I could put a switch on my Glock to convert it to full auto too, but I’m not doing that either.
You seem fun. I feel like the point of what I said was missed. I didn’t say it was a required thing just an option for someone that wanted the option of a higher assist. You could smoke meth too but I’m not gonna do that either.

Bosch have confirmed a update is coming to increase speed limit in some markets. Couldn't provide a date.
