Greetings fellow cyclists!

Pål from Oslo, Norway here. After riding a budget hardtail EMTB for years, almost daily through the year, and mostly in the city (it’s Oslo, not Copenhagen!), with the occational trip to the woods, I have upgraded to the Orbea.

I’m about to assemble it today with the help of a very profficient neighbour (not with e-bikes though). Any last minute special tips, hints, advice would be greatly appreciated!

Only thing done pt is changing the tire on the front wheel to studs and charging the battery:)

Thanks for letting me be part of the community and have a nice day everyone!

Kind regards
P

Read any supplied instruction twice, highlight the key points, and follow them. And don't be tired when you assemble because it's then too easy to make mistakes. Good luck.

Thanks! But the manual is so long! And my attention span so short:):) A video or just an installation guide would have been nice, but I now understand this is a more demanding mission. But hopefully we will prevail! And, yes, my first trip will be to an authorized Orbea shop, and ask them to take a look:) Thanks again.

I’m not familiar with the headset and cable routing on the Urrun, but mrs levity and I have both installed Marzocchi Bombers on our Orbea Rise LT bikes which have multiple cables running through the headset. My recommendation would be to have at least two sets of hands available to position the cables and any spacer(s) when removing the old fork and installing the new one. It may also be useful to mark the headset and spacer orientations with a Sharpie before disassembly to make realignment easier.

The coil fork will add significant front-end weight, but it makes for a much smoother ride. I think you'll love it!

Great, thanks! I guess I’m gonna find out tomorrow:)
