Is anyone using a rear mudguard / fender on Trek Fuel Exe?

Apologies for starting a new thread but this has been asked on multiple occasions in the mega thread without answer.

I can't believe nobody is using one and hoping that this will prompt replies.

A riding friend with a Fuel Exe has a SKS Mudrocker on his bike. Seems to work OK but doesn't keep as much shit off the back of bike as the Mudhugger (Large) on my Trek Rail.
 
I use a modified short fender on the Fuel EXE and Rail. It only protects the pivot point and dropper…not your back. (Monkey Nuttz and Mud Hugger) .

The frame is similar on both bikes.

I use small Velcro straps and zip-ties to attach. (Protects the paint).
