Levo Gen 4 Specialized Gen 4 Levo - Official Thread

2025 Amflow 30.000
2025 Specialized?
The Bike sold way over Specialized expectations. I don't know what those numbers are, but the bike was a smash hit. My shop is next to one of the larger independent specialized dealers in the US and I talk to the rep quite a bit and find him to be honest with his takes on the industry.

It’s interesting how context changes everything — Pinkbike’s back-to-back field test put the Levo 4 at the bottom as the worst bike on test, while flowmountainbike reviews are much more positive, likely because they don’t directly rank bikes against each other.
I saw this, interesting they did zero tuning on the bike. One complaint, the bike felt front heavy, well, go to the longer chain stay adjacent and adjust the head angle. Maybe taller rise bars and or move the seat back on its rails.

Compared to my 24 Santa Cruz Heckler, with a 807 front center. My 2026 s works with a 820 front center feels very heavy when trying to pop the front tire over obstacles.

I’m glad someone has told the truth about the bike I personally think the battery design has ruined the Levo the balance of the bike is definitely off
Its funny how subjective these things are. I love the bike, find it very balanced and have made some changed to make it to my liking. I've also ridden in certain circumstances with just the extender, and will likely ride with a 600wh battery at some point just to reduce weight on rides that don't necessitate the larger battery. I did add a 170 air spring to the fork and that is very much too my liking. I think its incredibly balanced.

I think the clue is in “ paid for promotion “

Let’s face it these reviews are hardly going to say anything that is detrimental to the product being tested. If it’s there means of putting food on the table. It’s a not like they are likely to be given another product from the same maker to be tested in the Future. I have been riding MTBs for over 55 years, have always had the best bikes around Mountain Vision Pro, 650bs, S Works etc. The balance is off on these Gen4s, based on my experience with them.

I think the clue is your forum activity. Anyone can see, you’re focused on two topics, pro-Amflow and negative Levo. You’re actually quite weirdly dedicated to providing negative press on Levos. So if we’re going to put on our tin foil hat and profess insincere motives, I think you’re here to dampen enthusiasm for the Levo. I’m not sure you’re even a real person and not a bot.

lol,
You just can’t deal with truthful none paid for reviews, that confirms what I and many others that have ridden this Gen4 have been saying after our first ride.

But, they didn’t pay me for me review. In fact, I paid THEM for the review and I have positive feelings about it.
I think it is fair to say that as far as actual customers, the majority love the bike as a whole. There are a minority who have had quality issues and are justifiably upset about it. There are probably others who don’t love or hate the bike, they just like it.
On this forum, the people bashing the bike don’t seem to actually own the bike?

You’re underestimating my confidence in the bike I own and love. My own experience means everything and no third party threatens it. What I find difficult to relate to is spending time and attention on a bike you obviously don’t like.

Being riding moto enduro my whole life & also ADV mid size moto. It is my business now for about 10 years (tour & coach). I used to do cyclocross also 10 years ago (Roubaix specialized di2) but always prioritzed motorcycle. I recently bought the Gen4 & I was blown away with what you can do with it. Enduro, jumps & even 130/140 km per day multi days trip with fast charger. I do not know much about MTB geometry BUT I know what I need for suspensions and frankly I am jumping this bike & going thru chucks like on my KTM 500 EXC.
5 stars for me on this Gen4. I am literally in love with it. This bike is more capable than me & probably most of us. The rest is forum BS.

Yep I love mine too . I’ve made the front heavier too by adding the podium fork , for what I do big enduro type days with long rocky decent’s the thing is awesome

Hi Folks,
Quick question for you, save me removing the cassette to check myself! I have a Levo 4 comp carbon. I’m going to change the wheels as the factory set are stupidly heavy. I believe the Eagle AXS s1000 cassette uses a traditional HG freehub body. Is this correct? Just want to make sure I get the correct freehub with my new wheels.

Many thanks

Simple reply, whats your gearing? If you have a 10-52 tooth, it’s xd, if you have a 11-50, it’s a hg. Hg will not fit a 10 Thoth cog. If you have a flat top chain, you need to run transmission cassettes, do not run a nx cassette with a transmission chain, the spacing is different.

That’s how it worked in the past. Now the T-Type SRAM 1270 Transmission cassette is 10–52 and fits an HG freehub body.

You’d be better off upgrading to an XD freehub body right away and swapping the cassette. Part of the reason those wheels are so heavy is the cassette itself, so if you’re trying to save weight, sticking with such a heavy cassette doesn’t make much sense.

From what I can deduce from Google, there’s about 100g in it between GX and S1000 cassette weight. So it’s something I will change in the future, but little point replacing a near brand new setup to save that kind of weight. In my experience.

I’m afraid that’s not accurate anymore, hence why I checked.

Yea, I didn’t realize they came out with a 10-52 hg cassette for the transmission .I will stick with my cheap NX cassettes with their all steel construction. Alloy cogs seem to die pretty quickly on e bikes.

The bottom end T type cassette (XS-1270) on the Levo 4 comp is also all steel I'm pretty sure.

Torquing bolts today I noticed what appears to be a missing bolt, as it’s an empty threaded hole in my motor. However the Levo owners manual says absolutely nothing about this location.
Can someone confirm they have a bolt in this hole on their Levo?
