Welcome Bradley, yes indeed a Yeti thread section would be nice. Congrats on the new LTe. 👍

I have a question for the LTe owners: so this bike reviewed VERY well as a full 29er, does it ride just as well as an MX or is the ride quality in part a result of being a 29er?

I have to say that I really like how MX bikes steer, but I swapped my own Relay to straight 29er and I absolutely murdered my PRs as a result. I'm not quite ready to give up on MX but it does have me thinking...

I can’t really answer that for you, as I haven’t ridden it in MX form. The one main advantage the LTE has over a lot of its competitors, you can choose which wheel setup you like, 29er or MX, which many of the completion don’t give you that choice, as they are only available in MX mullet form (at cost of having a spare 27.5 back wheel).

This video may help you.

The Sixfinity is absolutely superb rear suspension tech for years now, and that it seems only relegated to their ebike line has frustrated analog bike riders for the same stretch. It would be great if they could license this tech to other builders, though eventually the IP will be freed when the patent expires.

It's interesting that Yeti has not garnered enough activity on this forum as would have expected. It has to be the price and that the prior MTE incarnation had a mid-power motor. And as of yet no frame-only option (though I could only imagine what that would cost). And possibly folks eschewing pregnant downtube aesthetic of the LTE could have been remedied with Avinox or sticking with the lower 600 WH-only Bosch battery compartments. But none of this will keep PB from most assuredly tagging this as best EMTB of the year.

I specifically choose the LTe because of it ability to run different wheel sizes and battery sizes that can be removed. I almost bought a Santa cruz vala, very nice bike, but its fixed sized unremoveable battery and fixed mx setup stopped me taking it any further. As soon as Yeti announced the LTe I ordered one based on reviews of the MTe, It is everything I hoped for and read about, the suspension is superb.

I understand many think its over priced and Yeti dont offer a reasonably priced base model or frame set, but my C2 factory set me back £8.5k with a most welcome discount and although its still a huge amount for a bicycle, I personally think you get what you pay for, quality cost a bit more.

I personally was looking at the Vala as well (I own a Hightower & Megatower) and went to the LTe for the same reasons. I have the Trek Fuel EX-e so I was looking for my first a Full powered e-bike. The MTe could be the best bike in the word but I understand and have experienced the limitations of the TQ system.

I was really close to going with the Crestline but once the reviews came out for the LTe and the price I was able to get it for. I couldn’t pass it up.

I think you guys choose wisely and I do think it's probably the best chassis and motor combo out at the moment.
I just wish I could get it my way, like Burger King.

I thought you could get the frameset in the US ? I would've gone that way if it was possible in the UK.

Unfortunately no. Really only Ari, Spesh and Crestline do e-bike frame sets in the USA.
Ideally I'd get a good frame with a Bosch CX-R and a 600w battery.
At some point I'll probably have to buy a high end complete bike and part it out to get the starting point that I want.
Does the 600w battery just bolt in to the LTe? Obviously you'd still have the fatter down tube but I guess that only matters when you're looking at it.
Rogue, LT-e, Regulator & Wild are my very shortlist. Sometimes there are solid deals on lightly used bikes to take the sting out too so I keep an eye on the PB adverts. It's not a priority to buy used, but I'd love to find the CX-R LTE lightly used to build the dream bike out of.

I found a dealer that was willing to sell me a frame but it was around 7K for the frame only. The T3 was so close in price I ended up ordering it. They came back and said I couldn’t get the Turquoise until next summer. Yeti was able to find me a T4 though for a little more. I am excited to try the CX-R, hopefully this weekend if the weather would cooperate.

Yah, that's a fair price imo.
I’m not saying it isn’t worth it. The quoted T3 price was good enough to make me not even consider the frame only though. I have the components on the ready including a Push Nine. One fork and a set of i9 wheels. I might part out my T4 and go with those components, I need to ride it first to know.

Good job on getting a discount, bike looks awesome. 👍

Sell me your T4 frame set with the CX-R?

I have good Avy suspension, new CB synthesis wheels and a NIB 600w Bosch battery here.

I have had a Yeti LTe for about (3) weeks and have it set up MX w/ 27.5 rear. It is the equivalent T4 build spec. I can say that the handling and tracking on descents is top shelf. The bike wants to be pushed and laid over on berms and sticks like glue. I run Yeti Radial tires (Albert Trail ultra-soft front and Albert Trail soft rear on I9 wheels/ 35mm inner width carbon rims. The Bosch CX Performance motor and Kiox controller offer a mulitude of settings, which I have found to be less intuitive and user friendly to that, say of Specialized Levo 4 or Amflow/Avinox/Dji (I presently own both, along w/ the Yeti). The Yeti has a feeling all its own, preferring to be ridden fast and hard on the DH. I have strived to reduce the bike weight (800w battery from stock, purchased as a T3 spec and now run a 600w battery and Podium fork). The bike weighed 53.75# stock (T3) and my custom build now weighs in at 48.75#, a noticible difference on the climbs, while maintaining a sufficient range for the 2 hr., 25 mi. , 3500' vert rides I typically do. Overall, I have settled on the mtb+ setting with the various levels set to 4 of 5 (I find the motor to feel a bit underpowered in the lower settings , given the bilkes weight and mass ). Overall, I am very pleased with the bike, and still discovering its potential. The range seems on par with the other bikes I mention, I just wish the battery was easier to swap ( requires removal of a motor bolt and internal battery connector, not somthing to easily undertake on a trailside lunchbreak. The battery access was apparently a design consession due to the sixfinity linkage.

Guys. Btw I have a brand new 600w Bosch battery here I had bought last month for another project that didn't work out if anyone wants it for $750 shipped in the Continental USA.

That's a very substantial weight decrease.
Besides the battery, what did you swap to drop the other 3#s?

Not sure this accounts for the entire other 3 pounds, but he:

1. Switched from 29" to 27.5" rear wheel
2. Swapped stock wheels for I9 carbon

I'm curious as well as my husband has an LTE on the way. 48.75 pounds is very impressive for this build with Albert radials and presumably pedals too.
