Yamaha PW-ST error 61 help please.

Hi all,

I have a Gas Gas trail 2.0, bought the bike 2nd hand with 1000kms. Used the bike 3 times. On the 3rd ride I noticed i lost power on a light incline. The yamaha display was showing error 61. The error would clear with a power cycle for around 1 minute then come back. Now the error is permanent. I read that the error code is linked to the controller display, checked all wiring and looks ok, I ordered a new display as the one on the bike had a broken/repaired mounting so I assumed the wiring loom may have been pulled at some point. I replaced the yamaha sideswitch but its still showing error 61. Anyone have any ideas of what I can try next please .

May be a dumb question but did you try removing the battery and reinstalling it? My Moro is a little different but (thankfully) so far that process has fixed any error codes.

Unfortunately, they don't exist. You may luck out on eBay to find a used or new one.
