There really is no YT at the moment if I understand the situation correclty.
Most of the staff fired and it's now a waiting period for all parties to approve Markus's plan.

That refers only to their UK assets though, no? I.e. the Mill & whatever was in it.

Yeah, it’s the UK mill shutting down. They’ve got everything from bikes to espresso machines to the displays up for auction. They haven’t started auctioning off the assets in Germany yet but it’s coming according the German MTB forums.

I was buying the bike and thy said it would be delivered 09-08-2025. So I knew the bike came later. But I got the discount and an extra 15%. So I didn't mind waiting. I had a spare bike.
 
i wonder what will happen with the mold of the new ebike, has that one even shipped? or are there a ton of bikes in limbo somewhere at a non-paid producer?

I know some have shipped in the US and they actuallyu have stock of some.

I would love this! I bought a Decoy SN MX before the SN 29 was released. I wanted to buy the chainstay so I could convert my MX but they would not sell any frame parts retail.

I would also love to get a MK3 Tues frame in Medium for the wife. But again, they don't sell frames.
 
Anyone know of anyone that does aftermarket wiring harnesses? I have a YT Decoy that just went out and Shimano is saying it is the YT wiring harness.

FWIW I live in Bentonville and the Mill here is closed and they've been loading trucks....

If you have any RC Car shops near you they may be able help you out. I had a guy that made custom charge leads for my charge/discharge station. I’m sure if they’re half decent at soldering they could build a wire harness.

I’d say buy a soldering iron, some pins and wire and give it a go. Watch some YouTube videos, practise a bit and build your own harness.

Someone on PB said they spoke to one of the US YT Mills and were told that Jenson had bought up most of their old parts stock. So keep an eye out on there.
I expect that in the UK someone like SportsDirect, On One or Banana Industries will do the same.

Hello I really appreciate you posting this. Is it safe to say it is compatible with the Mk1, Mk2 charger for decoys with ep801 motors?

My friend has a Levo SL, the charger is the same as my YT charger. You could get one and swap cord out for your decoy. I'll probably do the same myself.

I remember noticing they look extremely similar (didn’t have both at the same time) but isn’t there a output difference 48V vs 36V?

Hi Markus, which decoy did you plug it into as i am thinking of getting a spare whilst they are in stock. i hve the decoy 2019 cf pro race and witha. 540w battery

Hi all - just ordered two YT e-bikes this past summer. Luckily, I did receive them. I know some people are still waiting for theirs to arrive. Curious if anyone knows if the YT battery is universal or if there is another brand that works on the YT bikes. What happens if the battery stops working now that YT isnt in business and we can't just purchase a new one from their site.

Depends which bikes you have. Some have proprietary batteries to YT and some are motor manufacturer brand. If the former you're out of luck unless you can find a third party repairer. If the latter you should be able to get warranty support through the manufacturer dealer network.

Ri’m hoping that when mine go I can find someone to do some electrical wizardry and swap the cells in the Decoy battery. That’s assuming the Shimano motor outlasts the battery

IMPORTANT | There is no warranty provided for this bike from Jenson USA or YT

Didn't notice any components or parts for sale (bearings, chargers, etc), unfortunately-

All of their parts from the UK mill were auctioned off, it was all one big massive lot of parts including the bins and shelves the parts were on. Not sure what it ended up selling for but the listing said it was over a £100k worth of spares.

Maybe, but it's hard to know how much of the recent shitshow was down to him. I don't think he was in control of the company when it went down. It does sound like they have tried to resolves things for the affected customers so that is something and at least there's an opportunity that current YT owners can still get some warranty support.
