Trying to replace the rear brake hose on a 2020 Niner rip E9 with Bosch 625wh battery, it appears to be zip tied to something under the aluminum plate. I removed the 4 screws securing it to the frame but it will not slide up or down more than 2-3 mm's. So will the motor need to be dropped to get the aluminum piece out? Or what I'm I doing wrong?

Can you just replace the cable? Leave the housing? Thread the new cable into existing housing …..
Rear …..brake ……. cable?it has cable actuated brakes?

A bit hard to tell but it looks like you could remove the two bolts holding the battery connector which might allow it to be moved out of the way enough for the lower end of the aluminum channel to drop out and then it will also slide out of the upper space once that is achieved?

Looks like a Shimano, by the battery lock and the battery connector. I replaced my rear brake and hose not long back and yes you have to drop the motor. It's pretty easy but you will need a chainring tool.

I'm removing the Sram disc brakes and installing Shimano disc brakes. The existing hose is tied to something under the aluminum plate and will not move in any direction.

Gotcha hose not a housing, my bad
I started to push the hose into the frame by the head tube as hard as I could and it popped out from under the aluminum plate.... Exposing the one zip tie keeping the hose from moving. The zip was wrapped around the brake hose and dropper cable.

There are hose following kits. To use the old hose to pull the new one through. Can help a bunch
