As a pure guess a difference of 0.2" perhaps?See a lot of cheap tyres but smaller 2.4 etc . Would there be much difference compared to 2.6 .

Need to see them blown up alongside each other . 0.2 doesn't seem much but ????As a pure guess a difference of 0.2" perhaps?![]()
I'm thinking that it's more than the numbers would let you think . Just wishful thinking to save a pound big difference in prices though. If I was only using forestry tracks I would go for it.It’s a bigger difference than you’d imagine. There’s a difference in rolling circumference as well
Friend of mine had one for a couple years no issues with it . He traded it in 3 months ago for a Amflow. He didn't go out in the rain though.Looking for something to have for the little lady. This looks interesting but not familiar with the brand.

Rubber hammer would straighten it. I had a Rocky Mountain with a strange shaped bar never bothered me a bit.Well someone had to do it...
I bought one of these and signed up a few weeks later for these forums.
Been away from mtb's for 15 years and a friend let me have a go on his Megawatt to see what the fuss was about.
Instantly hooked but didn't have the money for something mega expensive.
The top tube is deffo "interesting" but while riding, you cant notice it, apparently its for some Fox Live Valve or something ! strange.
Anyway, I saw it as a great entry back into MTB's and especially Electrics, seems to have all the spec I need and came with Magura MT5's instead of the brakes advertised.
Done a few hundred miles and its a blast.

You're out riding & that's what counts(let the pee taking commence)
Funny, I asked that question and you are spot on! Ridden hard and put away wet...That particuar bike though is an ex rental that's spent two years being smashed around a German bike park & if you zoom in on the pictures, it sure looks like it.

Yes me neither , but they seem a good tyre , and for £19.99 why not , they also do a Romero , I might get one also then swap them round , I think basically they are a DHF/DHR tread clone pattern which is no bad thing ...Not seen or used panaracer for many a year
Farmer John's remember them haha.Me neither, not since my XC racing days many many moons ago![]()
Yes ,Farmer John's remember them haha.
Haha I'm sure there was s Farmer John's Cousin tyre as well.Tioga haha. Brilliant
Tiogas Shirley?Farmer John's remember them haha.
Yep, cousins were the front tyres but worked better on the rears too. There was also a Nephew which had a closer tread for faster rolling on hand surfaces. All pretty terrible really...Haha I'm sure there was s Farmer John's Cousin tyre as well.Tioga haha. Brilliant![]()

Few months ago bought a couple of these at £28 each - put one on wife's Jan 2022 Rail to replace the knackered mech and kept one as a spare.Shimano Deore M6100 12 Speed Shadow+ Rear Derailleur £23 delivered
from sportandleisure.com, here.
Handy to keep as a spare when a rock or root jumps out and mangles yours.
I've fitted a set of these to my son's bike and it's a legit bargainSpeaking of Banana Industries, they're selling SRAM DB8's for about £52 a pair including postage. Bargain.

Yep that is a good deal, however if I was planning the hassle of changing brakes I know what I would buy! I have 2 bikes with Code RSCs and they are good if well maintained including regular cleaning. But I have one bike with Mavens bronze and they are not only significantly more powerful but seem to require very little maintenance. They have been used throughout a dry and dusty summer plus a few rides now in wet and muddy conditions with no performance change. It was noticeable on the last ride together with my mate who had code brakes that after going through a lot of muddy puddles his brakes were squeeling for ages......the Mavens were powerful and silent after only one brake application.I've fitted a set of these to my son's bike and it's a legit bargain
I spent a week in The Alps on a nukeproof mega with these brakes and they were perfectly adequate
