For me, it’s the location of the extra weight.I think the weight delta between the two options would have to be more significant than it truly is for me to invest in a second smaller battery. That said, I rarely (almost never) deplete the entire 800 - but it’s good to know it’s there.

I have 600 and 400 in my bosch cresty and the 400wh is so much fun., the 600 is hood and there's so way I want the heaviness of an 800wh.It’s nice to have the option of losing a couple lbs for shorter rides or park days. I don’t have a Crestline, (yet) but in my current ebike, I have my stock 750w battery for longer rides and I have a 500w for shorter rides or park days. It’s an easy swap and I can feel the difference in the handling. It’s not huge, but it is noticeable.
