If they went on a diet too..

The same bike with Bosch Gen 5 and 800wh is 25.5Kg in small with no pedals :ROFLMAO:
Well, carbon has that effect on bikes... it'll drop 1kg out of the frame weight.

PS my E would be 23.5kg if it had an 800wh in there. but i have 400 and 600wh. so 21.5kg and 22.5kg.

After owning a alloy 25.5kg E i'm not going back there again. put a drink bottle on in and ya 26.5 then add a few of kg of winter mud and ya quickly knocking on close to 30kg... Fuck that shit oclock!

18-19 kg is the best weight for an ebike imo. Less and it doesnt matter as much, but above 23 and it starts to really diminish the fun (for me, some dont mind)

Depends on how grunty ya bike is. Im running full super enduro 180mm. Not going to get that near 18-19kg.

My Decoy (and my wife’s) is rather portly, but it’s still great fun, on both our local trails and as a park bike in the Alps. But then we’re both pretty strong and have no problem chucking it around. Would I like it to be 18kg? Of course, but I only really notice when lifting it in and out of the van

It really depends on what you do with the bike. The smaller the lip on jumps and jibs, the more you feel it. Even on proper jumps, it's so much better with a lighter bike. If you are fine with ground hugging fun, then it doesn't matter as much.

I agree. I don't say it's possible, but what I am saying is that 18 kg or less is the ideal weight for a bike, above that and you will be making some sacrifices of the fun-ness compared to the same type of bike if it was 18kg - which is one of the best reasons to have a DH bike.

Well obviously it doesn’t jump as well as my hardtail or jump bike, but I’ve not really had a problem with it not ‘jibbing’ although I’m just a regular rider and not part of the 50/01 gang😉. I was just saying that for a 160/170 enduro bike I find it fun on big and small stuff. I guess everyone is different, but most of my friends complaining their e-bike is too heavy are the ones without much upper body strength or poor power to weight ratios.

I’m trying to fight the stereotype that all e-bikers are fat lazy old men (although I am 46 so the older part I can’t deny).

Lol you don't need to be 50/01 to feel a difference of 6KG when jumping. Put a 50cm log on the ground and jump over it with both bikes (light and heavy). One is harder than the other. It's more fun with the lighter bike, because you can jump easier/higher. It's not more complicated than that.

Funny stereotypes, that it's easy to do when you have a background with cross country, I drank the cool aid and realized what I was missing with predispositions :) I would be in prison if I did the same trails with a dirt bike, amazing what you can get away with being silent! Work load is the same, just a quantum leap in what can be accomplished!

Fighting the stereotype of the fat lazy old e-biker on my Kona at 64. I do have a lot of fun getting out there! (Didn't know e-bikes could be so light weight! ThanX)

Interesting non-carbon option. Too bad they didnt open options (like Crestline).
The possibility to choose front and rear travel from 160/160 to 180/180 or mix lacks.

Anyone else eagerly awaiting April 9th for delivery of their Meta SX Avinox? I have the Signature on pre-order. Who else is getting one? Keen on seeing what other owners are doing with their builds.

I'm a current owner of a V5 SX and the geo is very similar between that and the new Avinox bike, however it comes in 165/170 travel. Shock E2E is the same so keen to experiment and swap the suspension over between the two bikes and see if I can make the eBike into a longer travel beast

Seen quite a few of the M1 Meta Power SX here in NZ. Commencal have a full store close to my work so you see a lot of Commencal on the trails here. No M2 yet

Hi everyone,
I’m new to the forum and I’m from Italy.
I’ve placed an order for a Commencal Meta SX Avinox Podium and wanted to ask if anyone has more concrete information about the delivery timeline.
Has there been any confirmation that shipments might actually start from April 9th, 2026? On the official website it still says July 2026, and I’m a bit skeptical that they would move the delivery date forward.
I’m also unsure whether the bike will actually come equipped with the Avinox M2 motor or if that’s still unconfirmed. Does anyone have reliable information or official confirmation on this?
I’m also planning to swap the original rear shock right away for an Öhlins TTX coil shock, as I personally prefer coil shocks.

Thanks in advance!

Any "new" Avinox bike will be fitted with the latest M2/M2S or whatever they call it motor and will have the latest battery's/screens as well.

I can confirm at least in Australia that the bikes are available on the 9th for those that had the first pre-orders in. Any of the bikes on the website now that state May/June etc are all the next batch. I can also confirm the Meta's will have the M2S
