2026 WILD M-LTD CHANGES

Orbea has updated their website with the 2026 Orbea Wild M-LTD configurator (link) along with the new component specs.

As of the time of this post, the brake specs shown on the website are vague so whether the 2026 bike is equipped with the new XTR M9200/9220 brake set needs to be verified.

WHATS NEW FOR THE 2026 WILD M-LTD:

• NEW B0SCH KIOX 400C INTEGRATED DISPLAY
  Top tube integrated color screen display with integrated USB-C charging port, customizable display layouts, and built-in navigation capabilities.
• NEW BOSCH 100 Nm CX-R PERFORMANCE MOTOR
  Magnesium housing, titanium crank shaft, and ceramic ball bearings.
• NEW SHIMANO XTR Di2 WIRELESS DRIVETRAIN
  All new XTR wireless drivetrain.
• NEW SHIMANO XTR M9220/M9200 BRAKE SET (TO BE VERIFIED)
  Newly revised and redesigned XTR brake components.
• NEW OC MOUNTAIN CONTROL MC10 DROPPER POST
  For better or worse, Orbea replaces the Fox Transfer Factory Kashima coated dropper post with their in-house dropper post.

I confirmed that the 2026 Wild M-LTD is equipped with the new XTR BR-M9220 Hydraulic Disc Calipers.

Confirmation based on the brake specs provided at Vansprint (Dutch bike store) which shows Shimano XTR M9220 Hydraulic Disc brakes on the 2026 Wild M-LTD they have for sale.

I was also able to visually confirm that the front disc brake caliper shown in the photo of the 2026 Wild M-LTD on the Orbea web site visually matches the picture of the new XTR BR-M9220 calipers shown on the Shimano website.

Orbea ticks a whole lot of boxes, but headset cable routing makes it a non starter for me. Time they binned that shit off.

As much as the switch to the new Shimano XTR brakes is a plus, the switch from SRAM to Shimano for the transmission is heresy !
