Hi All
I'm trying to gather information on what I require to fit an O-Chain to a SC Bullit V3/EP800.
From my research a while back I know I have to use a 'O-Chain Black Sheet Chain device'.
I saw a video on Youtube showing the device being fitted but the installer used a different lockring when fitting the O-Chain.
The information is really poor.
Does anyone have experience with O-Chain on EP8 that can be shared?
Cheers

Ochain comes with its own lockring and tool to install the lockring.
You do not need to use a chain guide. I had one for a while, it didn't fit with the ochain, left it off and never dropped a chain.
You'll need a 104bcd chainring for whatever drivetrain you have and the ochain chainring bolts, since they're a little longer than standard.
Otherwise just buy the appropriate ep8 ochain.

OR

Buy an E13 sidekick rear hub

Thanks John

E13 might be the go, O-Chain is proving to be a pain in the ar$e to spec up.
Rebuilding my rear wheel seems easier and cheaper at this point

I've used both and the e13 is less complex to deal with and you can use it on any bike. Longevity is the only question, time will tell.

Sidekick Hub ordered.
I struggled consistent information on O-Chain information on the Bullit/EP8 motor including parts and tools needed.
The O-Chain Maxes out at 12 degrees whilst the Sidekick has 12/15 or 18 degrees (the Bullit has 27 degrees of kickback) Linkage Design
I think the Sidekick Hub will be less hassle in the end.

That chart shows kickback in the highest gear, where it'll be the worst but you'll likely be in a lower gear when descending where it won't be 27 degrees. Still, VPP tends to have greater kickback than most, 18 degrees on the sidekick that will make the bike feel totally different.
