Specialized need to get their finger out of their a... and implement these AXS functions on Levo 4.
Not going to happen they’ve locked themselves behind paywalls and abandon development for existing customers once they’ve got their money.
They could start by taking down that Paywall for Power, that’s proper way to wind customers up. IMO.
Sadly that's often how business works and does not only apply to Specialized .
As far as I know it is possible to do it on Levo 4
I fully agree that's unbelievable why they did it.
I very much like how the motor works with the Levo 4 software but get the impression Bosch and Avinox is in front.

Is the software on Avinox open source but not on Levo?
I think they're referring to the fact Spesh lock you out of features if you don't buy the top line bike, despite sharing the same hardware.
I almost bought a turbo tero, however having the performance neutered locked behind a paywall made the product unattractive so I went elsewhere….. spent 50% less with a mainstream competitor and got a better specification. Cynical pricing strategies will maximise revenues in the short term but will damage a brand especially when disrupters enter.
Then I misunderstood and I fully agree they have to stop this stupidity.

DJI are not just in front, they’re several generations in front. Going to take others a long time to catch up that’s even if they can be bothered to do so. I suspect that once they have your money that will be it.
What do you think will happen in the future if they don't get your money?

No way they're working with blood and sweat splattering in the office today.
If Avinox gets developed the same as DJI have developed their drone product line, Avinox 2 etc will come with features that won’t be available to earlier models and so on.
Sure, they’ll continue to develop and release core software/App etc, but they will have to drive new sales somehow and they’ll do that with new features/tech that likely won’t apply to earlier models.
Or, maybe they won’t, nobody outside of DJI knows. I’d be surprised if they’ve taken Avinox up a dead end though so expect new stuff in future years.

They started being present in froums like Amflow does. A start. At least……
I very much like the Bosch system that I know on ebikes since 2014 but would go for a bike with Avinox system instead that seems to be as reliable but with much better customer orientation.
Avinox have no track of warranty and support at shops.
I guess Bosch will update software first.

I don't understand why shimano and bosch are so locked down. You can't even set rear wheel from 27.5 to 29 if you swap. Same with tq. It's just not how modern riders roll.
They don't sell parts to riders.
They are not home serviceable.
It's crap, and seems like an old business model that shouldnt be rewarded.
I hope dji make parts available but I don't have high hopes. At least dji seem to be going in the right direction, giving customers more agency and adding features that are actually helpful.
Specialized are moving backwards. They are using software to lock down the hardware you paid for, and you have to pay more to unlock that hardware.

Umm, I have two Avinox dealers within an hour of my home. And Avinox currently dropping a new feature update every other month. Bosch will update only after being dragged kicking and screaming into 2025 by DJI.

This no Track of Warranty is the only downside, but based on my own experience of using the warranty once for a Broken charger I can not fault them. Replaced over night, the supply store even offered to send a tech out to my home with there own
This is going to be there down fall big time.......
Maybe it's just me but I don't call 1 year track/history 3-5 years is what gives me confidence.
Don't get me wrong so far it seems like they're doing great but time will tell.

Does seem that DJI have got Specialized (with their motor woes and high pricing) in their sights.

Maybe not, but DJI have massive experience with motors and electronics that are not too disimilar to the Avinox system really.
And the brose 2.2 motors
Brushless DC motors have their roots back in the 1960s, DJI didn’t invent them.
What they are good at is the electronics/firmware/software, and having used DJI drones for years along with other brands, their support has been good but a bit like Apple they do cut older products loose after a while.
I’ve got a DJI Inspire 1 drone, batteries are almost impossible to find and DJI don’t make them anymore.
There is a downside to tight vertical integration, along the line.
