Unno Mith released with DJI motor, 800Wh battery

I've invested hours in watching this entire review series, and I am still none the wiser on my buying decision regards the Unno 🤔
Why not? What i got out of that is that its s firm racers bike. Not the most comfortable, not the easiest to ride but can haul arse up and down in a skilled racers hands. If you want to go tech climbing the power output of the dji is often too brutal and causes wheelspin. You need to de-tune the dji to improve the bike for technical climbing.

I didnt get that, he even mentions its not the stiffest frame during the round up
And we know the shock was faulty, so the suspension was to stiff off the top and god knows what else.

Did you watch this one too?
They chucked a different shock in and tested.

I wouldnt take anything from that, a shock should been tuned to the bike, leverage curves...etc might be totally miss-matched. The linkage has a lot to do with that and the one on this bike isnt the same as the production bike.

For example, my V1 Druid XT had a terrible stock shock tune, I replaced it with an EXT Storia V3 and it completely changed the bike.

In an ideal world that is what I would have done, however then you'd have to wait to next summer to actually get one.
Oh, I feel your pain.

Not sure if it’s good fortune, but being in Canada, I have the luxury of time, as who knows when we’ll see them in North America.

For now I will have to suffer with my 35nm sewing machine motor in a sea of 108nm Rocky’s…

You can say that about any bike and shock upgrade to a custom tuned shock.

But the info that came out of the testing is that its a racers bike. That pretty much sums up unno in general. Lean, fast, light racers bikes. Not the smoothest or the easiest to ride by the general populous but in the right hands a weapon.

That is exactly my point, if the shock wasnt tuned correctly then it's likely even the functional shock was a poor replacement for the correct unit.
It still gave a representative test of what the bike would feel like using a generic shock. Sure, it wasn't the ideal test. But you now have a data point about how the bike performed. You then need to take the bias of each individual tester and consider their bias compares to yours. There's certainly information that can. Be taken away from that test and comparison.

Yes I agree that you can take broad representative characteristics, I cant imagine the new production linkage is going to change the anti-squat/leverage curve/progression that much... maybe +/- 10% but I do feel that this + the correct shock will provide a very pronounced difference. Time will tell I guess, hope we get some reviews soon!

I just know how much my druid feel changed with the cascade link and shock!

Have any of the people here actually received their Unno Mith yet?
How many of you have actually ordered it?
My bike dealer should receive a detailed shipping list of the bikes today, showing exactly when which bike should be shipped.
Mine's not due till September but I'm on the Facebook group too and as fas as I'm aware not one normal end user has one yet

So in this case, only the Spanish pro rider and an Eastern European bike store currently have a copy?
But on Instagram it looks like more people have already gotten a Mith...

@5Tuey
What is the answer from your LBS?

That there’s just no info at the moment. That is the same from where I’ve ordered and another shop I’ve spoken to in the last week.

Even the influences haven't received their test bikes yet, I don't think customers are getting them any time soon.
I'm hoping the delay is them revisiting the rear suspension linkage kinematics, so it's sorted for us customers.
I say this as I did notice the prototype Mith wearing a telemetry device on the rear suspension?

I ordered it in april... I am waiting for september now.

When were you told delivery originally?

I've found it interesting that Unno have started pushing their new cross country bike in the last week online but the Mith stuff has gone quiet as surely the Mith is likely going to make or break the company

I ordered AND paid mine in april too... I really hope I can get mine still in june!
My LBS ordered the bikes a long time ago, when nobody had a clue of what they are going to look like.

july, as i wrote some days ago... Unno answered me that they haven't any delay. But for me it goes from july to september, with my first payment in april!

They might be testers, it does seem very obscure though, it's possible they had prototype/non-retail spec bikes like Loam Wolf?

These guys have had the bike too: Exclusive Test: New UNNO Mith Pro with DJI Avinox motor – Is This the Future of eMTBs?

"As the first magazine worldwide to ride the UNNO Mith, we put the bike through its paces over a three-month period before its official release – and even had the chance to actively contribute to its development. Following our feedback, César Rojo’s team at UNNO adjusted one of the linkage points to reduce the bike’s anti-squat characteristics. But let’s start from the beginning."

So it must have been a very early example, like the Loam Wolf bike.

They probably had a similar but not the same test bike as the LoamWolf test.
The Ebike-mtb bike still had the old cable routing for the brakes and speed sensor, the wrong Elite shock (but correct Float X2 Version) and the flip chip...
The Loam Wolf bike at least had the correct (but defective) shock and the final frame with the internally routed cables.
All in all, there is no test of a correct bike.
Only the bikes in the videos by MBR and Rob look like the final version. Unfortunately, there is still no ride test of either of them...

This is the final design with the internal brakeline and speedsensor, and no flipchip from the mbr video

Despite my poor experience with the Amflow motor drag at the limiter on a test ride the other week I still can't see any viable alternatives to this bike I'd want but wish there were some actual final build reviews

Has anyone heard rumours some other larger manufactures are going to throw a DJI in some bikes soon or Amflow might bring out a more Enduro style bike?

I've just completed 1700 miles on mine and only now is the drag at the limiter starting to ease off.......However, it's a NZ based version so it's never been an issue....ever.

I've not heard of any specific manufacturers but you can expect a flurry of them over the next few months; there is a reason that Bosch and Brose (and other brands) have gone on such a large defensive and thats because so many manufacturers have or will jump ship.

As for Amflow, over the FB group, someone posted confirmation (screenshot) via an online chat that they would indeed be launching a new model very soon.

There should be some interesting enduro ebikes at Eurobike, which ist opening in about a week.
Maxon is going to show its new Air S motor, which has 90Nm of tourque, 620watts of power by an amazing wheight of only 2kg! There should be 6 different enduro ebikes with this motor.

I was watching some content on YT a week or so back (Sorry I cant remember which channel) and their advice was to wait until the end of June as there are quite a few DJI equipped bikes dropping at Eurobike.

So in sho

Interesting to hear about the drag.

Do you know who the online chat was with regarding a new Amflow model?

In short, it seems that if the Mith is going to be a bit too niche / hit and miss we all might have some viable alternative options very soon and potentially delivered before the Mith

The 2025 version of the Amflow is the one I just test rode with the new Fox 36 and SRAM transmission so think it would have to be a 2026 model and go under a slightly different name.

Just looking into that Air S Motor and looks impressive maxon BIKEDRIVE AIR S – 2 kg Full-Power E-Bike Motor - maxon BIKEDRIVE

"Thanks to its compact design and 85% efficiency, it enables ultra-light builds under 17 kg with 400 Wh or 600 Wh batteries offering more range with less weight.

At just 2 kg and with up to 620 W of peak power, it’s the lightest full-power e-bike drive in its class. It’s perfectly suited for high-performance e-mountain bikes, as well as lightweight e-gravel and urban models that demand both agility and power.

Compact and fully integrated into the frame, the motor runs quietly and delivers a natural riding experience. Paired with 400 Wh or 600 Wh batteries, it offers extended range without adding unnecessary weight."

They also have a 250Wh range extender that weighs 1.6kg and there's an early test ride review here with more pics
