Is it possible to use two range extenders, one after the other?

So, thinking….

I‘m looking at at SL Bosch SX powered bike with a 400wh internal battery. The bike comes with a 250wh range extender as standard. But if you bought another, can you effectively have 900wh, by keeping the RE in your pack or back at the car? I suppose the issue is how the battery combo is depleted? If they are both depleted in unison then they both go to empty at the same time, and that’s it, you couldn’t then put on the next RE?

The Bosch system sees all connected batteries as one so it bill burn both down simultaneously, but as your Range extender will be smaller than the main battery it will expire first. Your app may show you the level of each battery but I’m not sure.

The nuance there is if they burn down at the same time or at the same rate. If at the same time, they will both be flat at the exact same moment. If they burn down at the same rate, the main battery should have 150wh left when the RE is depleted. That’s what I was wondering, could you then put another RE on, and be back to 400wh effective capacity left?

AFAIK the system uses them simultaneously and equally (in percentage terms) so both will be exhausted at the same time, however if you then swap out the RE, the system will see a total of 250wh available again, but the user instructions say;

Start-up
Note: The PowerMore battery can be used as the sole battery on the eBike. Please note that due to the reduced capacity, both the range and performance of the drive unit will be reduced.
