That's a shame as I'm tempted to test one at leastSeems to arrive around week 32/33 or around there for me. So not until late summer/fall.
Mine is expected by Tuesday. That's a shame as I'm tempted to test one at least
Took delivery today.Mine is expected by Tuesday.
Give us a full review ASAP and put it on the scalesTook delivery today.
Just back from first cycle.Yes a review and pics , happy new bike day
Put some pics of it up so we can see if you went for the cheaper blue one or the pink one.Just back from first cycle.
I really like it (thank goodness given the cost).
My feedback is just as the reviews have stated tbh. Weirdly quiet going down or coasting. But sounds like an angry swarm of bees noise in first 4 gears. Then quieter than my SL in the rest of the gears.
Changing gears when stationary is nice. You can just pedal into the changes but better to ease off the load at times. Especially between 4 and 5 and between 8 and 9.
Power in top assist mode feels the same as my full power Levo. Might actually have a bit more grunt in the first few gears.
Doesn't feel that much heavier than the Levo. This is close to 25kg so I'm not lifting it over fences but same goes for my Levo which is a few kilos lighter.
But the backend is surprisingly playful. Similar in some ways to the mullet SL but easier to keep the front wheel down going up steep incline.
If anyone has any questions let me know and I'll do my best to answer. I'm not very skilled so don't ask me about doing big jumps.![]()
Shame the parts and colour on the 'cheaper' one are so crapUK bike shops getting them now; preview vid with some interesting info . .
So you are saying the battery life is noticeably less than you'd expect from an 800 battery? Hopefully it will improve once it goes through a few charging cyclesThe 800wh battery is more like 500wh on a bike which doesn't use power to change gear imo.

Obviously it's pretty hard to be exact but I used 20% battery on a run I've done loads on my Turbo Levo. I tried to use the same amount of assist as normal when on the full fat Levo, to try for a fair comparison and that's what I'd use on the Levo too, 20%. But that's a smaller 500wh battery. So you are saying the battery life is noticeably less than you'd expect from an 800 battery? Hopefully it will improve once it goes through a few charging cycles
I'm surprised how easy it is to pedal with no assistance. Easier than the Turbo Levo gen2.2 I think. But I'd not want to be going up hill.Might settle down as the components run in. I found my motor noticeably stiffer to turn by hand after I had it rebuilt last year, couple of months on & it loosened up nicely.
That sounds encouraging, keep the reports coming with some stats for elevation and distance done. Was out for almost 3hrs and used 34% battery which is actually pretty good. Lots of climbing.
Good shout. I forgot to start my watch at the beginning of the run. But I was pretty close to the foot of Glentress when I remembered. Instead of going up the back way via forest road, I zigzagged up the single track from the trail centre. That sounds encouraging, keep the reports coming with some stats for elevation and distance done.
How did you get on with it this weekend @border304 ? I was up at the Golfie Sunday and the conditions were like winter trail wiseMy mate is coming down on Sat. He's similar weight and fitness. So it'll be a good comparison. Same route, same speed and roughly similar physical effort.
He's looking forward to using the Levo compared to his regular mtb so I suspect Turbo mode will be used a lot which will reduce the impact of the rider input between the two bikes.
Yeah Saturday was a washout. Went up Glentress on Sunday. It was really busy. Turns out either my mate's fitness isn't as good as mine, or more likely he got carried away with using Turbo mode. Either way, I used 30% and he used 60%. So not the fair test I'd imagined it would be lol.How did you get on with it this weekend @border304 ? Just be aware that a battery pack will take about 20 charges before it will be operating at full capacity. The 800wh battery is more like 500wh on a bike which doesn't use power to change gear imo.

Really? I've never heard that before?Just be aware that a battery pack will take about 20 charges before it will be operating at full capacity.

You might be correct in asking for anecdotal evidence on that. Certainly the Samsung 30Q packs I had been building nearly 10 years ago definitely got better as in held their voltage levels for longer once the pack had been charged a few times ( confirmed by recording full Wh charging cycles on each pack, as in the pack would absorb a small extra amount of charge over the first 10 or so charges and then settle down to a pretty uniform charge )Source?
Goggling around, I see the Battery Management System might need a few cycles to calibrate and optimise voltages and cell balance. You might be correct in asking for anecdotal evidence on that. Now with the latest technologies I maybe not so sure, doing a few reference checks on manufacturer data sheets they are saying that the latest cells should have zero memory effect. That’s saying they should be good to go from the first charge. As I haven’t built a new pack since 2020 ( my packs seem to be just carrying on without much loss, quite remarkably so ) then I may well be out of date on that issue.
I have to build a new 500Wh pack in the next month or so, I should be able to record charging on that new pack, could be a good experiment as such to take note of the initial few charges.
