Hi there, it might seem unusual given I purchased a mechanical PL Carbon, but has anyone had any issues with replacing rear derailleur with sram eagle GX T type? (obviously swapping chain and mech shifters). Is it just a case of removing old hanger and fitting T type?

You'll need the GX T-Type Chain, Cassette (XS-1275), and GX Eagle Transmission Derailleur. Obviously you won't need your UDH anymore. Ensure you make the chain the exact right length. The PL Cabon and PL Carbon Pro are exactly the same frame, so there should be no issues.

Thank you. After removing the UDH, I’ve noted that cinching the bolt leaves some side to side wiggle. it probably would tight right up with the skewer tightening, but the threaded bolt seems to stop before I would ever be able to put 35NM on it. Should there be an extra washer in there? ( yes I have added the red spacer and flange correctly)
thanks again

Rob fits the derailleur to the amflow in this video, and the next video is an installation video from SRAM. Best to take a look at them.

New bikes now come fitted with SRAM Transmission (T-Type) derailleur, but will still accept UDH Hanger if you want to retrofit original style AXS Electronic shifting (for example).
In that example you would also need a spacer behind the T-Type cassette (the one with the red ring in it)
