Since this season my Levo makes some higher pitched intermittent wine noise for a short period until it is gone for like half and hour to an hour approximately. Not sure if its related to how much work the motor has to do. Shifting sometimes stops it. Do I need to take it to a dealer? But it will be hard to replicate on the spot. Or wait for it to get worse? Its behaving normally otherwise.

Is this a sign that the belt is coming off/disintegrating? Its a 2023 model I think with one of the later motor revisions. Only about 1k km on it.

I don't know the noise your bike makes but reminds me of my Levo1 when the sprag bearing was toasted...

My wife likes to have an intermittent wine after dinner.
My wife likes to have an intermittent whine about my biking habit after dinner.
Its only one little letter but its the difference between harmony and disharmony ;)

Then bike before dinner, problem solved. ;)

Yes, 1000km seems too early for broken sprag bearings.

If I remember correctly, the whine was mostly when I stopped pedaling and the motor was in overrun mode.
due to the lack of Torque of pedaling the Motor Torque increases and the sprag bearing could not handle that, so it slips and the Motor accelerates. That was what I called whining...

My Gen 3 makes a kind of whistling sound. I recorded it. Turn up the volume so that you can hear it. Is this the noise similar to the noise that your Levo is making? Here: Vocaroo | Online voice recorder

Nah, mine sounds more consistent. Like its a high wine that appears for some seconds and most of the time it subsides when I shift. Its rather unpredictable when it occurs and only for a short time.

The good news is that some guys have told me that it might not be the motor. Even the old guy who owns the Speclialized dealership here thought it was the motor and couldn't help me. I guess I have to either press him harder to look at it, or take it to another bicycle shop that will help me solve it.
