Scenario: You're filthy rich. Money is simply there to be thrown around. You can buy a maximum of 5 new EMTBs.
Question: Which Five Bikes available now (or confirmed about to be released) would you buy?

For me it's a difficult one - I'd definitely want a short-travel trail bike, a light-EMTB, a solid All-Mountain plus a DH/Enduro sled.

My list might look like this - in no particular order (assume top of the line model in every case) :
- YT Decoy
- Santa Cruz Vala
- Unno Mith
- S-Works Gen 4 Levo
- Forbidden Druid CorE

What would you get and why?

Don't need 5. Need 3.

Downhill / Enduro : Mondraker Dune XR
Trail / Enduro : Forbidden Druid CorE
Spare to sub for either or if I need super light : Amflow PL Carbon Pro 600Wh.

Five? Cant imagine use case for such stable, but for my needs 3 would be enough to cover my riding
- Santa Cruz Vala
- Unno Mith
- Levo sl2

Same list for me - I've been looking at the Vala for the last few months.
If I didn't have a 2024 Trek Rail then I would buy one tomorrow. Two actually, one for me and the other for my son.

Not too fussed about light eMTB's - full fat or nothing here :)

I can't see the point of 5 eebs, there's far too much cross-over to make much of a difference.

Based on what's available right now I'd have an Unno and a Stark Varg.

I have a 2022 Giant Reign E+2 and now a 2024 Orbea Rise h30 with brake, rotor and fork upgrades. Honestly these two bikes I could ride forever.

I have to work on the rise in trail mode compared to reign e+ in middle mode and I like that. I still ride my other 3 mtb 50% of the time.

If money was no object I would only buy 3. A Pivot Shuttle AM for local DFW shredding. A Crestline 160/170 for Jackson Hole, WY riding. And a Pivot Shuttle SL for taking back and forth for those more XC type rides. Wait, I already have those. Guess I need to think of something else...

Hmm.

Well I have my ultimate E bike. So thats on top of the list.
I'd buy 3 x Crestline so mates could ride with me
Then i'd place a forward for Zerode Pinion gearbox E for when that is released.
What the hell, i'd get one of those miths just for some garage wall porn.

In reality, Money no object what 5 bikes would i have?
one E and 4 mtbs

My Current Crestline
My Current Deviate Claymore enduro bike
I'd swap the trek session DH bike for either a zerode G3 or a SC V10
Commencal dirt jumper.
Umm I'd leave room for a 150/160mm trail bike than i yet down have an ultimate spec for.

Shuttle AM
Regulator SX

Can’t see a need for any more e-bikes. Would also add a V10 and a Spur, maybe a Firebird if I had space.

Focus Vam2 SL, I think it would be perfect for a lot of my local trails (a light, short travel ebike with decent geometry and strong enough to take a beating)
M
Amflow, mulleted, with a longer fork (maybe).
Or keep my Decoy MX.

I only really need one bike.

Apparently they'd be 5 bikes with Bosch motors so I could use their completely pointless (to me) upgrade that allows their app to control multiple e-mtbs. Of all the fixes that they could come up with this was it? Really?

  1. Santa Cruz Heckler - Lightweight fun bike
  2. E-Druid - Interested in trying one
  3. Giant Trance E Elite - Lightweight Full Power small battery
  4. 2025 Orbea Wild - Update to my version with the Gen 5 motor
  5. Santa Cruz - Bullet, for those big travel days
