Unlike other brands that recently released their bike it does not seem like Specialized was that focused on weight. I can tell you I have heard that the new motor performance is outstanding(like nothing currently on the market) and the new frame design is one of the best handling all mountain bikes produced, but until the 8th it is still all speculation. I am sure there will be lovers and haters as there is no perfect bike fits every ones needs. I do know I am excited for my pro to get here next week and take it through its paces.

Just talked to my LBS and they will have them on display Tuesday. He was not allowed to give any more info.
Does anyone know the color choices for the expert and if the bikes have auto/freeshift?

I believe with the new controller and the latest sales model it's pay to shift .... ;-)

I know that it has and Apple locate feature and is more SW defined to adjust the motor response, so and improved app. This should make for a few good stories of ppl hunting down thieves. Personally I think it should have security features so you can disable the bike if you walk away. I mean its the price of a beater car.

If the class 1&3 thing is correct I wonder if it'll be based off gps location, ie if it knows you're on a road it will change.
You joked about this at the bike shop, I truly doubt its GPS enable... but it was funny to imagine and the issues it could cause.

Historically it wasn't a problem as Levo's could self disable with the first pedal strike or some other random touch.

I knew someone was gonna go there... I was hoping for something a bit more technical and with a on off switch

Hadn't seen anything on the alloys, the Specialized site I saw only had the whole carbon line. I am certain it will all be out this Fri.
Is there any info regarding the alloy version. I just saw a screenshot of a US dealer with pre order pricing and it included two alloy models. Alloy would be my preference but I am unsure how much longer I can put off buying, anything later than May is too long a wait for me.
Can you share the pre-order price list please ?

Just ordered a green expert. My LBS guy is cool and was reading a bit of the info to me when he slurred something about traction control......shhhh

I am sure it is a feature that will be adjustable in the app to suit your needs just like the overrun will be.

Which colours does the Pro have?
Is there also a black one?

Old cells on that one, new cell 800 Wh batteries are sub 4 kg.
Probably but it wasn’t really the purpose of my table. 800wh battery weight is just an approximate guess.
Then, weight without battery would be even under evaluated in my table. It’s even worse.
I read in the past posts someone saying that with small battery option, it was possible to get a Gen4 not so far from a SL but I do not foresee it realistic…

Am I the only one that doesn't care about abs or traction control type stuff? I don't see much value in replacing skill with technology.
So you like a rigid push bike with no brakes? bahahaha technology replaces skill all day long. ;)

Does anyone know when the Ohlins limited models are available ??

I thought this one was hot ..

I built my own 'Öhlins Limited' long-travel version (170/165 mm) using TTX22M.2 + Cascade and Fox 38 with a Smashpot coil spring and an Avalanche open-bath cartridge.

Nothing beats the buttery smoothness of a coil spring paired with a high-oil-volume damper. The stock Levo was cute, but after the coil conversion, it turned into an absolute weapon.
