Thats a cracking bike for the money. Always enjoyed my EZesty and Lapierre have a very good reputation for good all round bikes.
 
I saw that and nearly asked the same question.Looks a bargain,not sure what year it is? Is the battery removable?
 
I’ve got fond memories of Lapierre bikes having spent a lot of time on one in the Austrian mountains back in the day.

I really don’t need another MTB, but I’m tempted! 😀😂
 
My order goes in on Monday with C2W scheme - whilst not the best components, getting that level of spec for £2,500 (less 40% on C2W scheme voucher) is a complete no-brainer for me. I'm a casual rider (Whinlatter red is about my limit) and TBH, don't need a £5k+ bike so this should be great for me (replacing my first eMTB Cube 160). If I need to spend a few hundred over the next couple of years upgrading components, still cracking value.
 
Arrived and tested - all good!
Battery is removable and chargeable on or off the bike - bonus.

I'm 5'10" with a 31" inside leg and as the size chart suggested I went for Large. Only did a 9 mile test and it felt OK size wise. My Focus Jam2 is a medium and the Lapierre is taller at the front (maybe the front wheel being 29" contributes) so it did feel taller at the front when on the bike, but any fears were put to rest. I did need to drop the dropper post virtually right down so if your inside leg is less than 31 it may well be too big.
An initial observation is I had a few pedal strikes. I've put some more air in the shock to see if that improves things. If not, may well look at shorter crank arms.
 
Cheers, with regard to putting air in the shocks, which pump would you recommend? I am new to this so not sure what's required! 👍🏻

I have just ordered one of these (Lapierre Overvolt AM 6.7)from Paul's and have not found much information on them online, but my search brought me here to this thread.

Do you have any further feedback on ownership now that it's been a few weeks?

I need convincing that I have made a good choice 😀

This is my first eMTB, but I have been riding mountain bikes for 25+ years now, from fully rigid back in the day, to hardtails, full suspension, and now delving into assisted (I am 47 this year, so I'm creaking a little 😊). Currently own a modified Whyte 429 Hardtail and had a layoff due to injury for a few months, so I'm looking forward to getting back into it this spring/summer season.

Any feedback, good or bad, on this machine would be appreciated.

47!! OMG! You poor old bugger! The end is nigh! You are doomed!!!

I didn't get my 1st emtb until I was 20 years older than you and that was more than 6 years ago. Don't worry @Stoods1, your creaking bits will stop creaking for a long time, that is until you get really old. :ROFLMAO:

Funnily enough I was going to update this!

The bike arrived in a couple of days, fully built in a very large box!
It did come with some pedals (not mentioned online) but I had some DMR's ready and waiting.
It comes equipped with (new to me) shimano cues drivetrain. I realise from initial research that this is 'entry' level but I wouldn't have realised it. It all works very well. I am impressed with the Bosch Smart system, even down to the motor lock that only disengages when my phone is present !
I was also impressed with how quiet the bike was rolling along the trails. I have to shout out to people walking all the time.:ROFLMAO:
It comes with the Bosch LED controller. Just has led's for showing riding mode and battery charge. I missed the display of my old bike so I added a Purion 400 display. This is simple to install and integrates very nicely with loads of information as you ride.
After 80miles "testing" I do really like it.

However there is a slight glitch at the moment. The forks have started knocking. It took me a while to actually locate it. I sent an email (with a video) off to Pauls and to their credit they contacted me back really quickly (on a Sunday afternoon). I had the choice of removing them and sending them back (postage paid) for them to log it with Rockshox or take them to a local bike shop of my choice for them to contact Rockshox with £25 credit to go towards an inspection fee.
I sent them back and am waiting for an update at the moment.

I was going to save a review until afterwards but as you asked 🤣

I'm 66 this year so am entitled to an e-bike!!!

:ROFLMAO: Ok, there might be some life left in me then. I'll accept that. With the layoff, though, I am not feeling my best. Nothing like a new toy to reinvigorate you, though.

Sounds like a good experience with it in general, then. It's a shame about the fork issue. I hope you can get that sorted out quickly (y)
 
Mine arrived last week (Cycle2Work scheme) but as I'm just getting over a chest infection, haven't been out yet (other than through the village).

Initial thoughts - pretty decent. I debated medium/large as I'm on the cusp of the two on the sizing chart (175cm, short legs / long back) so went large (based on my medium Cube being slightly small). Size wise, does feel big up front but as said elsewhere, might just take a bit of time to get used to the mullet. Only real 'size' thing is the dropper post which at 170mm is just too big - easy fix if I need to. Oh, and the bars are a bit wide for me so will be taking 15mm off at some point. I know it's going to feel completely different to ride so hoping I get used to the size thing.

Bike came well packed along with a few other bits I ordered. I had enquired if they did a tubeless kit (rather than buying the bits separately) and they offered to do the conversion for £50 (including all the bits) which I thought was a bargain. I'm liking the look of the LED Smart controller - minimal but does everything you need.

Hopefully, get out this weekend if only for my 'lunchtime loop' of 10km (50% road, 50% fell).

Who knows ! Other than the size (230mm x 60mm) and the model / serial number (?) HKR2392218, nothing else on it. From a quick Google, the 60mm stroke length equates to roughly 150/155mm travel....I think.
 
Mine arrived today. Excellent service from Paul's. It's an XL, as recommended in the size chart (I am 6' 2") looking forward to giving it a run tomorrow morning. I have just been setting up the controls, initial suspension adjustments etc this afternoon.

Any owners on here.......... the "Abus" keys provided I assume are for the inTube battery removal? The keys sent with mine go into the lock in the downtube, but do not turn? I have coaxed them as hard as I dare, but I don't want to snap them off. I emailed Pauls but wondered if there was a "knack" to it or if they should turn easily?

Any info appreciated.

I had the same problem. It turned what I thought was all the way. Pauls advised to give it some welly!!
You do have to push against the spring in the latch mechanism quite firmly and the battery will pop out a bit. You then push down a lug on top of the battery itself to release.
 
Here's what Pauls sent me,

t might be that you're not pushing the key in far enough (see attached image)

You need to push the key in as far as it will go, so there's only a fraction of the metal part of the key visible. It does a dull sort of click into place, then a clockwise turn and the battery compartment will part open to reveal a tab at the top of the tube which you can press to release the battery.

The battery cover is attached to the battery itself, so don't be alarmed when this comes down with the battery!

Sorted. Yes, I was not inserting the key far enough. Turns pretty easily once it's in, as you say, against the spring.

I will ping Pauls back now and say I have sorted it (with assistance 👍🏻)

On mine I found that squeezing the battery compartment against the frame whilst turning the key would unlock the battery. Hang on to it tight as it is a very heavy weight and will drop onto the floor as I found out! 🤦🏻‍♂️

The battery is attached to a removable rubber guard which protects the battery and frame from damage!

Great, thanks for the advice. My issue was the fact I was not pushing the key in far enough as per Andy.M ‘s advice. I take your point though, the battery is a lump. 👍
