Hi all, Orbea Rise M20 owner here - based in Surrey, England but also up North in Cumbria.

Thinking of doing the Coast to Coast this year on my Rise, so will be trialing distance etc without the range extender.

Mostly do trail riding around the Surrey Hills. Getting quicker - usually top 10-25% but am still a bit of a copout when it comes to jumps! Anything with a lip causes me collywobbles but anything with a drop and at speed, I'm OK with!

Hey @norstar,

Congrats on that beauty! I should be receiving mine in a few weeks, and I cannot wait for it.

I will be changing from a Turbo Levo SL and there's only one concern I have about the Rise, that it doesn't output rider power data. I'm really hoping that it could be fixed though, and for this reason I'd like to ask you to sign this petition I created:
Also, I'd be most grateful if you could spread the word so we can collect hopefully at least a 1000 signatures.

I hope I was not ruining your first post. Congrats again, and be sure to post photos of both the scenery and your new ride!

The one thing I don’t like is that the Range Extender, which I bought for Winter, takes forever to switch over to the main battery, and completely slows down the bike while it’s doing so - it lasted for 5 miles the other day (I was on the flat). You can’t turn the battery off either, so I have to stop and manually unplug it when it’s getting to 57% (of combined battery power) especially if I’ve got any hills coming up! I got in touch with Orbea about it and they said it was designed like that to save wear on the battery or something, it just sounded like BS to me. Love the bike though.

That sounds like BS to me, but I am on a 2021 Rise. My extender is completely seamless in switchover and I can't tell you when it happens...
