That's what you think now I'll bet you change your mind when you see a better deal on a better bike it's some crazy deals this winter the competition is off the charge things changed so much the last six years finally the prices are going down specially in the winter
Had to pay 1400eur for the bike as a "rest value", bike sold for 3k, could've waited out and maybe gotten 3.5k, but could have been fed up with it for a longer time as, like you say, the 2nd hand market is saturated...
So i ended up 1320eur for riding the bike 3 yrs and now i start from scratch.

Might keep the next one a bit longer to sell after spring, needed cash this year

I was torn between this bike with no discount, the hybrid 155 (30% discount)which I really liked and the reign+2 2024 model which was at 28% discount,i figured the Bosch gen 5 was the dealbreaker for me and worlds apart from the e8000,not that I was disappointed with the shimano motor.

These ONE77 are slack,I checked my cups and they were in the slackest for me already, idk if you guys know but there is a visual indicator,if the bottom cup has a tiny dimple on the outside of the bike and the top on the inside it’s in the slacker setting, obviously the other way round steeper.

It's a great looking bike.....how does the ride feel?

So much potential in the gen 5 later down the line aswell 😉

Thanks 🙏hopefully will find out this weekend, still can’t get over the frame geometry with such a steep top tube angle😂

What did you tuck away under those bands on the frame?

The bike rides really light despite being only 1.5kg lighter than my outgoing Reign. The shortish chainstays and more centered + lighter battery really make it easy to lift the front. Overall stiffness feels good to me, I had read the outgoing Cube models were a bit flexy outback.

The BB is quite low so I am running my suspension quite stiff (just like on the Reign), but even so, I reach full travel on some runs on my relatively tame tracks around work. I don't find the rear suspension all that plush or deep. I'm coming from a 150mm commencal -> 160mm Giant -> 170mm cube rear end, the Cube doesn't feel like it has more travel than the others. However, a large part of that was probably my coil suspension on the old bikes.

I have 3 potential buyers for the Giant, when it goes I'm either getting another custom coil shock or a RS Vivid Air and a 600Wh battery, I think the bike will be mint with those.

But to put it plainly: at €4300 for the SLX build, even fully stock it was both the cheapest and most capable bike I have owned.

Interesting to read the opinions, I've got a One77 incoming and a bit nervous due to lack of reviews and information. I did think the BB looked a bit low. Hopefully will get on ok with it.

I can only look at it for now...
3th of March i'm allowed to pick it up :)

Great looking bike,i have a stereo race 140 2023 model and was thinking of buying this, but acros headset, and white forks put me off, black forks would look better, good value for money though,if i would upgrade anything,it would be the wheels, newmen wheels are not very good,a nice set of DT swiss rims with blue hope hubs would make it look luvverley!

First ride today and my first in over two years so i can only compare to my previous meta power sx,straight away though this ploughs through but I felt the rear bottom out but not harshly twice, seams to be very linear with no ramp up,its not a problem so I then set sag to 25 at rear and set the rebound 2 clicks faster and climbed back up to do the run again,on about the climb from the e8000 this gen 5 Bosch is crazy..I was chuckling to myself in standard turbo😂second run was a lot better..slightly more harsh but the bike felt poppy and very playful and a little left in the rear travel to give,i Know I’m probably not the best to give comments As my time away but for me very impressed with the bike and surprisingly the middle level suspension,I do think though I’m going to have to drop the bar height a little more and never had a bike where it’s actually too high for me as I normally end up running 35-40mm riser bars😂

Cheers for the heads up on the battery lock, mine was starting to get loose also. All pivots have fine, but my lower shock mount needed a quarter turn.

Agree on the stack height, I'm running the same +40mm bars as my previous 180mm front bike, it's a bit of challenge to put it in the boot of my kangoo. Might drop to +20mm bars.

Hi,
I'm new here, I'm trying to get some help on this bike, but I cannot find any review except on this forums so thank you everyone for this 😁
I have some questions :
- I'm 1m78 tall, would you choose the M or L version? I think I'll take the M as I prefer the bike to be a bit too small than too big but I don't know what you would suggest. 1m78/80 is the limit between both M and L...
- how much length do you have to insert the seat post? I think I'll buy a longer one, I want to be able to go to the minimum for descents but I'd like to not be trapped by this lol

Also, I would get the SLX with the fox 38 rhythm. I know it's not the top of the top but already a good fork, would you choose a better one or is it already good enough? The goal is to do some real enduro with rocky steep downhills, I'm not really good at jumps but I want to improve on it (someday ahah)
Thanks! 😊

Im 180 ,id go for a large, but thats just my preference, theres not much in it tbf

I'm 178cm and have ordered the large. It's personal preference but I would have a look at the geometry and compare it to bikes you have ridden to get an idea, or get a sit on one if you can. The seatpost is nice and short on the geo charts.

I'm 1m77 and went for the Large. To be fair it was mostly because I was on a 455mm reach Medium bike before and wanted to try sizing up this time. Either size would have been fine.

My seatpost is nearly slammed, I'll probably upgrade to a 210mm oneup v3, although I've been impressed at how easy it has been to move around the stock 170mm, I was on a 180mm oneup v2 before.

I finished installing ridewrap on my one44 tough bike for first time wrapping also ride wrap had 2 numbers mixed up 🙃

So impressed with this bike for the money,I’ve now settled with a 40mm stem and 30mm riser bars(which I’d already had)with just an 8mm spacer under the stem, just ordered some rear shock volume spacers as although not harsh even running at 25 sag I’ve bottomed out a few times now but other than that the stock suspension is fantasti.

Please send us some pics of your new setup. Because I wonder how the new stem looks with those oval spacers and headset underneath

Love the stem with that blue bolt in unison with the blue Grip damper. Your stem doesn't touch the headset by 2mm 😃. I hope the lip at the bottom (headset rubber for internal cables) does not proove a mud scooper though.
Think it’s just the angle as all is the seated and sealed, the only thing I did was cut the tiny little alignment pip away which keeps all the oe plastic spacers inline.

That doesn't look bad. I wonder if you can use regular spacers. What's holding those oval rings down?

You can like I say there is a mini pip kinda keyway but they are so flimsy and brittle feeling when you take them off 😂sooner have aluminium because even though you only put 2-4nm when tightening the race I’ve had carbon knock off spacers compress and shatter before leaving the bearing assembly loose on a ride.

FYI I changed my fork over the weekend, the headset isn't that hard to work with.

Just be careful the lower bearing will fall out on the crown race, and there is some kind of loose red seal that sites on top. The crown race is a tight one, it got a bit scuffed up taking it off with a small screwdriver. The top of the headset all held together during the operation and only one cable was in the way when inserting the new fork.

The only slightly frustrating part was the angleset cups also popping out. Gave me a right fright when I thought it was the actual press fit headset cups! 3 hands wouldn't have gone amiss to press everthing down together at the end, but it's literally just an extra 2-5 minutes of faffing. Good news is that I then decided to try the bike in the steeper setting, only took 5 minutes to do the full head angle adjust the next day.
