Just got an email from Pivot NZ. End of summer sale with Shuttle SL and LT between 39 and 40% off RRP. I’ve never ever seen pivots so discounted. All sizes too but not the AM.

Guess they have a lot of stock to clear.

Turns out they are on sale in the UK too

It’s the same at one of main Pivot dealers here in the UK too, the bikes on sale are the old colour Shuttle SLs, the Shimano powered Shuttle LTs and the 429s.

What brand isn't on sale, they all shot themselves in the foot when they introduced model years, I bought a Pivot LT in November with the Shimano EP801 Team XTR for £6700, reduced from £12999, people may say that it's old tech but personally it's a hell of a bike for the money, and is the new Bosch powered Pivot LT worth a £5k uplift from the price I paid, unless you're racing then I very much doubt it or care if it is.

Giant has done something interesting on their webpage. They have moved all the current/old models to a "clearance" page and only have the new models on the main "bike" page. No discounts on the "bike" page, but all the models on the clearance page are discounted. Rough scan of the pages seems like about 80% of the bikes are on the clearance page and only new models just coming out on the "bike" page. I'm sure the bike page will increase as they release new models for 2024. Discounts don't look any different than what they have been discounting bikes for the past 8 months (My trance is at the same discounted price I paid a year ago) and not nearly as good as the Pivot discounts.

It's crazy how many Pivots are on our local trails. The way they're being discounted, one might think they're selling themselves. But at the meeting place for today's ride was a Pivot Demo van. He probably had 30+ bikes on the rack when I rolled in at the end of the day, and there were still a lot of bikes out on the trails. The Pivot Man said that he was in SoCal for the next month.

Wish that was here in Canada, the lowest level Shuttle LT is $11,500, with the Bosch Race motor. Still has a pretty good spec. They are works of art though

Yea they only have the Team XTR left in the LT and its $9025 USD equivilent

They’re advertising relentlessly on Facebook. But, as you say - very few models actually available at the advertised low prices now.

I bought the Shuttle LT SLX/XT, going to put my Zeb and Vivid Air on it, such a clean looking bike and only weighs 50lbs.
Haven’t ridden it yet because I’m sick

I bought an LT XTR last fall on a ridiculous sale. I was a little disappointed in the range and wanted to buy a second battery. The main thing i learned is thar Darfon may be out of the ebike battery business and a replacement isn't really available. A Shimano battery wont fit in the downtube and would require a whole new wiring harness for the motor. The primary battery repair places wont replace cells in the Darfon batteries because of programing issues. You will notice that Santa Cruz dropped all their Darfon powered bikes as well. I really liked the way the bike fit and rode and was totally satisfied with the Shimano drive system. In the end I wound up selling it after 700 miles of use. They are screaming deals on them and they are fantastic bikes but people should know the battery issue when going in.

I loved the way the bike rode, but that Darfon battery, Shimano’s poor reputation for repair/replace, the clatter and that green colour (!) were deal breakers in the end.

Did it have the EP801 with the 630 battery, my Shuttle has the Bosch Race with a 750wh battery and can get a 250wh range extender. My old bike has the EP801 with the 830 battery and I bought the Shuttle be I was lucky to get 20kms on the EP801, I got 23kms on a Bosch with the 750 battery and had 37% left
