I have recently ordered a cube stereo hybrid 140 with the 625w battery. Can anyone who owns one of these tell me what the part number is? The reason I ask is that I already have a cube Kathmandu with the 625w power tube and would like to know whether it is compatible, which would be great for longer rides! I did, of course, ask the LBS, he didn’t know!

I don’t see how a Bosch 625 battery could be any different from another Bosch 625 battery.

Strange, there is a difference here's mine from Cube SL625 (2020 model)

I have to admit I was mistaken. There does indeed seem to be “vertical” one and a “horizontal” one.

What bikes use tube battery's as horizontal? I cant see it been the backrack version unless theres a horizontal main tube bike ive yet to see one,i think its a really stupid thing to do as it makes both batteries non compatible to frames with either or.

Mine uses a Smart System horizontal style battery. Presumably Bosch makes 2 mounting styles at the request of the various bike manufacturers.

Most cubes have horizontal powertube batteries,my 2023 hybrid 140 does

I believe theres another variation on Bosch batteries, though unless you intend to use it thus, it shouldn't matter.
That is, some of them are designed to run with an extender, and some apparently not.

I suspect thats probably down to charging and the system being in parallel, so the internal circuit board on one will allow for that, and on another it wont.

Yeah ive a powerpack500 and a powertube500 so youd imagine i could connect both,i know theres a 250watt extender it would be really cool if both 500s could be joined.but eitherway im sure its only a matter of disconnecting your empty and connecting your full if not a compatible system ill find out from dealer and report back but wont be for a lil while 👍
