Hi guys, I'm keen on purchasing a Kunlun. Please can someone less me the BB height in mm when set up with the 250X75mm shock? Or the 230X65mm eye-to-eye?

Do you offer the Kunlun V2 frame (capable for 29" rear wheel and 840Wh battery) in size S1 alone without motor and battery for DIY builders?

We have all size and colour available in stock.

Here's the official website.

I just received the KunLun V2 frame, and the frame looks great, but it has some bugs and imperfections here and there need to be fixed.

The most critical I found so far is the front motor mount brace internal corners interfere with the motor mount corners. It results it is not possible to alight the holes good enough and it causes the mounting bolt fits it extremely snug (it even strips the coating on the screw and rubs the holes). It is nearly impossible to stick the screw with bare hand.

I am planning to machine off those corners. Here is how proper part should look like

Can anyone confirm if the rear brake disk is 200 mm and not 180 mm ?

The Markhor KulLun website says it is 200mm, but 3x3 nine gear hub 200-->220 mm torque arm brake post adapter does not fit while 180-->203 mm torque arm brake adapter fits. It looks like the brake disk is 180mm, not 200mm.

Maybe there is an old obsolete information on the website and they updated the brake disk size on KunLun V2 frame?

Also if I put the 200-->220mm torque arm adapter on top of +20mm adapter it fits. There is certainly something off with the information on the Markhor website

Just realized the charger has wrong plug. That would be nice if Markhor would put an adapter or an appropriate cable for the US

The rear axle spacing on V2 frame is slightly bigger than 148mm (around 148.3mm or so). The rear axle designed the way it bottoms on the threated side of the rear triangle and you can not tighten it more. As result the rear wheel can be loose. My rear gear hub has spacing exactly 148mm and because of the rear axle bottoms before it clamps the hub the rear wheel has some free play.

If you have this issue you have two options - shorten the rear axle or shim the hanger. I recommend to shim the hanger. 20x28mm shims fit perfectly. I used one stainless steel 20x28x0.5mm shim. This shim makes the rear axle minimal spacing 147.95mm which is perfect.

You can purchase such shims on McMaster

I do not know why Markhor uses bottoming axle, it makes sense to use such thing on bare carbon fiber interface to prevent crushing carbon fiber, but Kunlun V2 uses aluminum interface for the rear axle on both sides and you can clamp the rear hub without issues.

It looks like Kunlun V2 fame goes without fasteners for the battery (at least my has no original fasteners and also the US dealer said their frames went without fasteners for the battery too).

I found these M6 x 1mm Thread, 25mm Long stainless steel flange head screws (you need at least 4 screws) and 0.234" ID, 0.625" OD Abrasion-Resistant Cushioning Washers (you need at least 4 washers) work good to fasten the battery

Hi everyone.
Whats your thoughts on these bikes? They look really interesting and different.
What are they like for uk trail and more natural steep rocky terrain as well like peak district rides?

Looking for a poppy snappy bike that I can throw around and takes a beating.

Struggling to find any comprehensive long term reviews anywhere.

Also, what motor would you pick? 560 or 510??

Regards.

Dave

The 560 looks amazing.(weight, torque, - RS version is quieter).. thats going to be my choice

What length of a dropper did you manage to fit into the Kunlun V2 frame? My dropper is 210mm and sticks out 70mm above the frame,is it actual max? I need to get additional 2cm
