Hi, I have a DT Swiss 370 pawl hub on my 2021 Kenevo which is XD driver (factory hub)
I also have access to a slightly newer 370 hub that came with the ratchet.

Question: can I raid the ratchet from the newer 370 (came as microspline) and then buy just the HG driver that I want?

My plan is to convert to linkglide 11spd, but spending $300+AUD on the full conversion (ratchet and driver) on a low-mid tier hub seems foolish.

Am I better off putting my money towards a good hub or is the 370 a good thing after a ratchet conversion?

The cheapest is to buy a new HG driver (free wheel) with pawls to old DT 370 hub.

I converted my old 370 to shimano hg with a steel driver from merlin for the bargain price of £25. It is only my backup wheel though.
My main wheels use the 350 hub, but I tend to get a new one every 2 years when I break the rim & santa cruz send me another wheel for free. This again uses a steel hg driver I purchased.
Probably better off buying the dt hybrid hub? I think it has more steel parts inside, or just get a hope hub.
The dt swiss site is excellent for checking part numbers. You will need a new endcap as well.

This would still be considered a low end hub though yeah?
Yes, certainly low end DT Swiss in terms of standards, but still much better than many other manufacturers' medium level hubs.
But of course a 350 hub with a rachet is better and if you feel like it, get one. However, the rim is more important to me.

Thanks guys, I’ll probably end up building a rear wheel for it at some stage, I was just hoping to make it last until I destroy this roval DH rim and then after I destroy the one that came on the front as well

I Had a 29” hope pro4/fortus30 wheelset from my previous bike and mulleted the new one by using the front 29, but I’m loving the mullet Kenevo so much I don’t want to put the rear one on.

I'm using a 370 hybrid rear hub on microspline that has the steel internals and currently can't fault it.

Short answer, yes you can (I did the same as you intend to do on my Bullit)

I used a HG driver that I've stashed away for a few years.

I am intending on building a wheel with a e*13 Sidekicker though. There is no need to update your hubs as DT Hubs have to be the most reliable out there in my opinion.

Good to hear.
All I want is for it not to fail, I don’t care about POE or the sound or the friction or the colour, I just need it to go when the pedals turn.
Thank you.
