What did you buy your ebike this week?

I went to Go Outdoors to get some camping bits for the weekend, obviously I had to look in the bike Bargain bins.
I don't really want my £1,600 phone on my bars, but I want to try out the flow app display and the Bosch doesn't talk to the Garmin for battery percentage.

I ordered 3 x 240ml bottles of Continental Revo sealant from Bikeparts.co.uk. £9.77 instead of £12.95 and cheaper than elsewhere taking delivery costs into account. Free delivery on this occasion. They came today, less than 24 hours! :)

Continental Continental RevoSealant [240 ml]

However, the best before date on them all is Dec'24! Cheap for a reason.

But the liquid is free flowing and shakes well, all the particles are in suspension and not in a cruddy lump glued to the bottom of the bottle. I'll be using one or more when the two tyres I've bought turn up. :)
I bought the same but 10 bottles for £20 :) plus 6 .50 postage , expiry date April 24 , used 3 so far no issues , link below

Just bought another pair of Ergon GA 3 grips.....so using them on both bikes now. I found they definitely balance pressure from the bars far better across the palm , reducing too much strain on the thumb side. They get the "thumbs up" from me!

Could you buy a cheaper/second hand phone that you can still get a quadlock cover (or similar) for and use that instead?

I'm obviously out of touch with the mobile world - what phone costs £1,600 and what does it do that other phones for half the price don't do?
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it wasn’t an Apple iPhone 16 pro max with plenty of storage 🤔 I was looking at an iPhone 16 pro with 256gb and that’s £999 👍

Yep, that sounds right. The iPhone 16 Pro Max with 1TB of storage retails for £1,599. It’s essentially a professional grade still and video camera that can also place phone calls.

A rear light. It mounts under the saddle on the saddle rails via a bracket and can be removed from the bracket by twisting half a turn for charging (USB-C).Tested it this afternoon going into lighting up time (around 4pm) over some gnarly descents and 30miles of mixed on and off road and it's still attached and working fine. Think I paid £12, worth a look if your after a cheap rear light that mounts discreetly out of the way.

It’s the same as everything Apple too, friggin expensive, yeah I know I’m a hypocrite because I have Apple stuff, I still have an iPhone 4s (which sits on my Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin speaker) an iPhone 6s and my present phone which is an iPhone 7 Plus, they all work and are in near mint condition, and of course I have my iMac and an old iPad.

I like that, if I didn’t have a reverb dropper I’d have one of them too, the battery sticks too far to allow anything else to fit under the saddle ☹️

It also comes with a seat post mount, so depending on how far your dropper falls into itself it could still work?

Ordered some new Zeb ultimate decals from slikgraphics as one leg is scratched and tatty
the other is perfect as is always the case 😂🤐
2-4 weeks delivery though coming sellotaped to the back of a pigeon I reckon

A pair of Fox Ranger pants from Winstanley £69.99 free delivery.

The old ones are getting just too knackered looking. They used to stay looking cleanish and respectable for several rides, but these days they look knackered and disreputable even when clean on.

I've just taken them out of the tumble drier and they look OK (ish). One more ride then! :)

This one off Amazon fits with the AXS and has NOT moved or loosened up through 1000 miles of very rough rock gardens.
When it comes time to charge it simply unscrew the light, leaving the mount attached to the saddle rails. I have my saddle slammed back but as you can see; if your saddle is centered the light mount would still fit. If your saddle is slammed forward, it wouldn’t fit.

Tell me to mind my own business mate but why would you want to put your phone on your bars, personally I’d never put a phone on the bars of a bike full stop, I know it’s each to his own but even my Garmin isn’t on my bars, it’s mounted on the top tube out of harm’s way 👍

That looks neat 😎

This week:

Front mudguard, SKS Mudrocker, as the Acid Mud Shield didn't fit my newly fitted fork 😕

New tyres (Nobby Nics) - my deliberations here Tyre advice: upgrade from Smart Sams

New cranks, Acid MTB Hybrid Pro 170mm. Bit shorter (and bit nicer) as stock (175), got long legs so didn't want to risk going much shorter.

The mudguard is on (pic in the recent) mudguard thread, the tyres and cranks aren't yet.
