Question: Any recommendations on a motor bash guard? Preferably not one that is fixed on with Velcro.

My Bosch CX motor came with an aluminum skid plate/bash guard and I keep a spare in the drawer. There’s plastic versions available and some have even made their own carbon versions.

I prefer the protection of aluminum for the type of riding I expect to see. I have broken one skid plate but the motor casing was fine. A cracked magnesium casing could be expensive.

I have also slightly chipped the cooling fins and I file those round/soft/flat asap.

If the trail dog was included in the purchase …you got a really good deal .

I love the way Mondrakers look.
I rented a Mondraker Summum a couple of summers ago at a bike park and it was awesome. I became an instant fan.
I simply can't get past the price of them here in NZ, though.

I have to say - yours looks great! Love the colours.
