e8000 motor swap out, what's needed?

Can anyone tell me if I swap out my broken e8000 motor for another used e8000 motor do I need to plug it into a computer and have the shimano software to get it going our will it just work? And anything else I need to know? Thx

New motor needs programming of:
Wheel circunference
Motor Angle

This has to be done by a Shop.

In Motor with older FW versions this could be done with Stunlocker Premium, but not sure of newer FW

Looks like it's less worth giving it a go then.

I can safely say I'll never buy another bike with a shimano motor, unless they make them serviceable with spare parts available.
