Nah just get 2 batteries. It's far more versatile.
A range extender would be only useful for a super long ride that isn't a loop 🤷

I can see the logic and at 2/3 the cost of a full 750wh battery its not hard to just pass on one when I can get a full-size 750wh for $850 - Just wish the full-size battery wasn't so full size 😆

Could always do 2x 500wh 😀. I had a chat with Troydon about batteries as I was considering getting a 500wh. My most common ride is an hour/1000ft climbing so it would work quite well. Troydon said that you can adjust the cradle for a shorter battery so that the weight stays low. But in the end I decided it was only a couple of kilos and I wanted to keep the option of some bigger missions.

I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and get the second 750wh battery for a backup

Would you be able to tell me what Troydon said about Adjusting the cradle for a shorter battery? I have a 500w battery and it came with just a 3-D printed spacer attached to the bottom of the battery to fill up the space and hook into the battery holder in the bottom of the frame. Was he talking about something else?

Hi there, Yeah, when I talked to Troydon he mentioned that it is possible to reposition the battery cradle in the downtube so that you could have the smaller batter at the bottom. You wouldnt then be able to fit the larger battery. It sounded like it wasnt a simple job so you wouldnt be doing it very often. I decided just to go with the 750

If.you remove the bosch rail out of the frame you just un bolt the battery connector at the top of the frame down to the size of a 500wh pretty easy job just fiddly.

If you need any more help hit me up

Coming from another Bosch powered bike and have a Powermore 250. Just mounted it and there is literally only 1-2 mm of clearance between the bottom of the battery and the climb switch on my Rockshox Vivid air shock on my S 180 (size RH3).

Doesn’t look like I can get a cable connected to the battery and slide it into position and there’s no way to connect the cable with the battery already mounted.

Anyone figured this out? And if so, can you share pictures and length of cable you used?

Had same problem. Bought this adapter on Amazon , $8 or you can get the one from ProblemSolvers too. The cable is 550mm, a bit long but you can insert the extra inside the shock mount and looks clean.

Feels pretty solid, no side to side movement but only time will tell. $8 not a big investment 😂. I have done only 1 big ride with it, rough enough with no issues. The ProblemSolvers allows more up and down adjustment but this one is more simple.

I went down the two battery options like the others.

I'm loving the 400wh. I can get 2 hrs of run time and the reduced bike weight is awesome.

Plus I can still carry a drink bottle.

Thanks for the info.

When I bought my range extender from Crestline they included the adapter, FYI.
You mind sharing a picture of it? Curious what adapter they send.

I have an email in to Crestline but no response in about a week. A little concerning given my last bike was a Pole Voima and they went out of business while I owned it.

It's hard to see once it's installed. It looks a lot like the Wolftooth "B-RAD" 2-slot mounting plate:
