Wifi jammer and angle grinder used to break in to garage and cut through Kryptoflex steel cable. The bike has an electronic lock but not the Bosch GPS, I wish I had installed it.
All Emtbers - this is my second eMTB that was stolen.
Bike security paramount - USE GPS, and effective theft protection.
I don't think I am going to get it back - so good bye Orbea!
I remain as an honorary member.....

Wow, that is horrible. Friggin scum. Hope they get caught.and you get your bike back. I store my bikes in my basement. So, if they want them, they better be able to dodge a .45 cal...which is doubtful. Maybe all will turn out well and the theif will get hit by a bus.

Unless the thieves carry a bigger gun plus they have the element of surprise so no, that doesn't work . . if they want it they'll get it regardless hence the OP - if they're carry angle grinders and wifi jammers then adding a gun isn't going to be an issue for them.
 
I forgot...guns walk around killing people. You frigging people who think there aren't nut cases out there baffle me. And the US unfortunately has more than it's share of unresponsible idiots. You can walk around unarmed all you like. As for me...I'll take my chances armed. And, if god forbid you ever have a life threatening problem and there is someone there to defend you with a gun, I doubt you'll ask them to kindly put it away.
 
Mine got stolen in Brussel, Belgium, got it tracked for than a month(could not made a close connection with it but found the place where the iPhone “heard” the AirTag ). It was in town, so very difficult to enter all the houses and buildings…
Police will not help ... , once in a house or building thy need an official mandate and this is never done for bikes🤨
So after more than 2 months of regular updates on the same location it moved, guess where!? (It left Belgium)
And even now it get updated, less often however…

I was talking in a much broader context than stealing a frigging $8,000 bike. Such as if a home is broken into etc... If I'm riding and someone tries to steal my bike...first place they'll probably get the ass kicked...secondly, I would never shoot someone over stealing a bike a bike. HOWEVER...Break into my house when I'm home, your ass is fucked.

What's really fucking pathetic is people making excuses for crimes and criminals. Oh, his life is worth more than a bike. The criminal makes the decisiopn what his life is worth. It's REAL simple...don't be a criminal. And, if you don't want to get your life ended, follow the law and let people be.

In every country where guns have been banned the citizens are safer. It's not up for debate.

If the ebiker can get his hands on a gun, you can be certain that a criminal gang can. What's your pistol going to achieve when you're surrounded by 3 guys with shotguns? Go on, pull out your Glock and see what happens.

Unsure how it's a losing drum. I mean it's literally fact thst the US has significantly more gun crime than anywhere else. You've had 16 school shootings this year so far (82 last year) and around 5000 people shot to death this year so far... Seems pretty tyrannical to me.
 
How do your politicians, dignatiries and mucky mucks stay safe? With a handshake, hope and prayer...lol? Pretty sure they are very well protected. You do whatever you want...or are ALLOWED to do. There are cookoos everywhere. I'd rather be allowed to protect my family than beg for help that may or may never arrive. There's a reason we've never been invaded on our soil. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.
 
Largest...most well armed private citizens and or army on planet earth. It isn't even close to any other country. This absolutely is a deterrent to any invasion. This comes with responsibility. Some in the US are irresponsible unfortunately.

Go ride your bikes. To debate one freedom over another is really pointless. Just vote for your country to never expect or want any military help from the US. I'd LOVE for the US to send zero military aid of any kind to any country. Keep it all here. We'd have tens of trillions more in the bank. And most of you wouldn't know your native language.
