Thanks. Do you know if the Hope one will work? I presume it…..?

Anyone know if an Trunnion X2 fox shock will work with the 30mm bearing mount on the bottom instead of the standard eyelet type, I’m uncertain of the mounting gear sizes

Hi, doing a bearing replacement and have completed all except I have no idea what to do with the 'rocker pivot axle'. Does anyone know how to remove etc. It's just spins around and I can't work out how to remove so I can add the new bearings. Any help appreciated.

This is the offset for the E13 alloy pedals

This is the offset for the E13 alloy pedals

Here are my Qfactor measurements and calcs:

The TQ motor is 130mm wide, thus:
E13 e*spec plus cranks (165mm) with the 22.5mm offset gives you a 130+(22.5x2) = 175mm q-factor.
E13 e*spec plus cranks (155mm) has a 19.5mm offset, so a 169mm qfactor.

From e*13 support
"Helix Race e*spec cranks when installed on a TQ Motor will be 184.4mm"
So the offset in my book would be 184.4-130=54.4/2 = 27.2mm offset

Hope Standard = 130 + 27.75x2 = 185.5mm
Hope Narrow = 130 + 21x2 = 172mm
Hope Specialized = 130+ 17x2 = 164mm

if your talking about this one, give it a tap-tap-tap from one side, the bearing and rocker pivot axle will pop out. then I just reinserted the axle to pop out the other side.
I'm actually in the middle of doing this right now, the bearings feel rough while they are inserted, but weirdly when I get them out they run smooth. Bought new ones anyway.

Thanks so much, I'll give that a go! Fingers crossed.

I fitted a 2.6 Kryptotal on the rear (which I struggled to fit on the rim) but there was very little wiggle room between it & the frame so removed it. Back with stock Bonty at moment, may try 2.4 Kryptotal. Does any manufacturer other than Bonty make a decent 2.5 tire/tyre?
I have the 2.4 enduro kryptotals mounted on my Ex-e. They were very hard to install on the bonty carbon rims, but totally worth it. Best tires ever!

Mine has been reliable and extremely quite. Couldn’t stand the battery rattle on my Rail. Sold it within months. My Fuel is perfect for the local XC woods and mild jump tracks. Other than tires, it's completely stock. Willing to upgrade, but not convinced other parts will provide noticeable "return on investment".
Mine is so silent, I almost ran by front wheel into a mother and cub bear napping on one of my local trails. I also wasn't paying attention, until I heard the mother growl. Can't get any quieter than this.

That looks really good.

I went with these Amazon ones. They come in all sorts of heights and come with shims to adjust the bottom lip, which is what's really needed given the stock integrated setup.

:(I've had clicking/creaking on my exe for a few weeks. I had thought it was the bearings, and so did a full bearing replacement on the suspension. But it still persists and so it was not the bearings...All points are torqued correctly including 50nm for the lock ring. Here's the youtube link with video and sound (below). It only makes this sounds when climbing, and only after the first 5 minutes. The first 5 mins are silent, and then the creaking/clicking gets progressively worse. If you have had similar issues and found a solution would love to hear. thanks in advance. - YouTube

Private video, so I can't hear. If you have not adjusted the motor compensation screws, do that.

There's two motor mount compensation screws and bolts. Adjust them and that clicking noise should go away.

Here's a previous post with details: Tq hpr50 clicking sound

Went for the first ride on the Fuel EXe today.

It’s a very different experience from a full fat. Much more ‘bike like’ without all the heft of the full fat.

Power is way way down relative to my Levo, obvs, and you really have to keep on top of what gear you are in and your cadence. But it does get you up the hills.

It’s a more fun bike to ride than the full fat, handles much more like a regular bike. It’s also fast going down (full 29’r compared to the mullet Levo), handles well, much more playful and maybe one of the best bits, when pushing it up unrideable shit, it’s sooo much easier.

I’m unsure of the range capacity, my Garmin stopped half way around.

I rode with the range extender today, conditions were very wet and boggy. I spent most of my time in trail mode which is at stock factory setting.

Think we did 13 miles and 1600ft of climbing and I had about 45% left. So could have probably got 20 miles in today’s conditions!

It’s a perfect bike for local rides, I feel like I’ve put much more effort into the ride, which is exactly what I wanted.

How do you get the display to show you the distance you have ridden?

Thats not an option. Perhaps use the Trek Central app or garmin/strava, etc.
Here are all the display options available in the dealer service tool.

You don't need the dealer service tool to change the screens, you can use the tq android /iPhone app to configure them as well. but you're right that you can't configure the display to show distance

Have you checked the lock nut on the chain ring? That was the source of my creaking and clicking. Only did it when pedaling up hill or out of the saddle.
