Does anyone know what the torque setting is for the Performance CX securing bolts? I can't find it anywhere.

Also, I believe that these bolts are T40 Torx plus. Can anyone confirm this before I buy a set of Torx Plus drivers

I use 20nm for the Torx 40 Plus motor mounting bolts on both my Rail 9.7 and my Powerfly 5. In the Trek section in here some spec sheets are available for printing/downloading.

The T40 Plus socket (3/8 drive) is a must have (imo) when you drop a cx Gen 4 Bosch motor. There is also a Torx security bolt(5 star) which holds the mounting brackets in place. Make sure those don’t come loose.

Hope this helps

Brilliant. Many thanks
The Powerfly version of the manual doesn't provide the information shown in your image re the bolt type and torque!

No problem. I believe the torque values apply to most Bosch Gen 4 motors. At least that’s what I use. A larger torque wrench might come in handy for the higher torque values (10-40-60) on the spider nut and cranks. I have two…small/large 1/4” and 3/8” drives.

I will add that in addition to the T-40P (plus) bit, it helps to have the security penta-lobe driver bit in your toolbox. There are six (6) penta-lobe fasteners on the motor mounts that eventually come loose (for me average of 1500 miles). I put a drop of medium thread-locker on them
