I want to get a portable genie that will charge my Yamaha YDX-Moro while multi-day camping...

WEN 56235i Super Quiet 2350-Watt Portable Inverter Generator
Produces 2350 surge watts and 1900 rated watts of clean power...

Will this charge my... YAMAHA Multilocation 500Wh 36V Lithium Ion

Thanks in advance.

I'd say yes it will

what charger do you have? how many Amps ? Volts?
i have 4A x 220V. which is only 880Watts. so its ways less than 1900W...

Some electric vehicles now come with sockets to use when out and about for just that kind of thing.
Possibly a little OTT as a solution in this particular case, however!

its potentially enough to charge 10 bikes at once.
I checked the standard yamaha charger, 220v input and 42v x 4A output which would use around 168 watts.

I appreciate your help... would one of these suffice for a weekend of camping???

or

Thanks

Looks like I'll go with the gas-powered one I posted above... since we have no power at the campsite.

It is... thanks
if you want something like that to charge bikes you'll need to spend a lot more on something like this..
to size it, look at the WH available
something like this will boil kettles, run microwaves, fridges, power tools, charge phones, charge EMTB's etc..
this would charge your bike twice and leave enough to power your lights and charge your phones etc etc.. but it costs.

Check out ALP propane generators.. I've been using them for the last few months and one lb of propane will get me almost a full charge one generator can charge 4-5 bikes.. when charging on the last trip I charged 2 bikes 6 times and used about 11 lbs of propane, propane cost $1.15 here so super affordable.. also the generator doesn't smell and you never have to pour gas in to potentially spill so can safely travel with it unhooked inside the vehicle.. highly recommended great unit

Should one use a Surge Protector in between the Generator and the Batter Charger Power Supply?

Yes. There are no downsides to using a surge protector. Just get a small power board with one built in.

Unless the unit already has one built in. Then you save 10 bucks.

Bought this one... Charged my bike from 4% to 100% in 3.5 hours (plus phones and other tech gadgets) on ECO mode... barely noticeable noise. only used 1/2 gallon of gas for that 96% and another 73% recharge.
