How much does it cost to get a Turbo Levo repainted bearing in mind I would also have to pay someone to remove all the mechanical and electrical componants as I am unable to do it

It's just that I went for Storm Grey and I don't like how the mud stands out against such a light colour

£350 plus stripping down and rebuilding from Argos in Bristol.

I would calculate it as...
1. Go to bike shop, ask how much per hour labour they charge. Estimate (2hrs?) to remove all components. - may be even less time.

2. Take empty frame to paint place (or crash repair place), and find out how much to repaint in the colour you want. The colour of the paint will dramatically affect the price. Eg. Plain colour vs metallic vs chameleon vs 24k gold flakes etc. **

3. Estimate (3hrs?) to put back all components on the finished frame and re-tune gears etc.

** Anybody who knows how to paint can paint a bike frame. You don't need to go to a specialist bicycle paint place. Any motor vehicle crash repair place can also do it (may even do it cheap because they'll just use left over paint from respraying the Mercedes Benz they just did). You can also try people who do airbrushing or custom artwork (usually on motorcycles and vehicles). Another place you can try is a local technical college where people learn these trades - but the quality of the finished product may vary.

Hey...
I just build up a #budgetfun27.5levo# with 170/160 travel. Isnt finished yet. Get new motor including complete wirering etc...

It was a black/blue levo fsr 2019 witch get powdercoatet by a german company which is specialized in coating cycles.
Looks better than new, effective costs for shipping, removing old colour, get new 2 colour sheme in black and electric pink, with silver glitter, and lasur finish were 230€ (plus 60€for new bearing kit)

Cheers

Thanks:ROFLMAO:, but the goal was a sheme from i think 2018 demo and enduro model. They came in pinkblack, and this flashed the new owner of this bike, so he ordered this.
Powdercoating does “Goetz Pulverbeschichtung“ in Germany.
They did a 110% perfect job, very recommendable.
Will post a pic here when its finished with decals etc.

Cheers

Might as well leave it then, I'll just not use it when it's really muddy. Probably for the better as well, as rides like that aren't great anyway

£500 all in is what it should cost you realistically. 1hr to strip the components and 2hrs to rebuild = approx £150 labour. Leaving £350 to sand a paint! Unless you're going for some sort of extreme air brush paint job!

You could get it wrapped instead of painted.

Spoke to my LBS, they charge £120 to strip and rebuild and I know of two places charging £350 to paint it properly. Total £470 GBP
Euros 563. Alot less than even Euros 1000!

What do you get for that £350 for paint?

Don’t forget to add £85 for invisiframe after you spend all that money on paint.
