Hi people
Ok anyone ridden both or bought one and wished they went for the other ?….
If you had to choose now between the 2022 E150rs 29’er and E160rs 27.5’ which would you choose for general all round riding in the U.K. ….. mainly natural forest trails, small bike parks and big smiles …..?‍♀️

Yes! I've just got the 2022 150rs but only went for that over the 160 due to bloody stock shortages. The 150 was built and in store ready to go, but seeing photos of the 160s with the tasty fox 38s I do regret not waiting for stock to come in. However I still love my 150 and with the big fat zeb up front it seems to be very very capable and the 29s definitely add to the monster truck feeling. I was always very sceptical on 29 inch wheels thinking it wouldn't feel nimble but I honestly think every bike I buy in the future will be a 29er now.

160 and mullet it.

interesting that you now prefer the 29 inch wheels after owning it…. Have you tried both bikes ? Do you think the 29’er wheels are noticeably faster and smoother over the ruff stuff ? ……. If you could swap now you’ve owned it for a while for a 160rs would you ?? ….?‍♀️

You think it's going to be a huge noticeable difference having 29s but because the bike is all around chunkier you don't notice. No I havnt rode a 160 but all my past bikes have been 27.5. To be honest yes I probably would but only because I've always wanted a nice big set of fox forks. I can't imagine 10mm would be noticed when your giving the bike hell on the downhills.

I have a 27.5" bike and a 29" and find the 27.5" more fun to ride in the technical stuff. The 29" rolls faster on open terrain, but overall if I had to choose a favourite, it would be the 27.5".

Does that mean a mullet bike is great for climbing but the front end pulls away from the rear 'cos it's faster, making it longer until you slow down again? ? Variable geometry... :ROFLMAO:

also your height is a factor when thinking of 29's. I know i'd be hitting the back tyre when things get rowdy on a 29.

For me it’s 27.5, have had a 29er and never liked it, just never felt right. (y)

I have the same, 27.5 more fun in the right conditions, feesl better down really steep tech stuff but overall I prefer the 29.
They are different bike brands but same motors and batteries, the 29 is a lot better on battery usage too but my 29er is a lot lighter than the 27.5 so it could be that.
