What is this piece on the motor and is it right to look like this?

Hi, it’s certainly possible that I’ve just never noticed it before but it seems kind of strange. It’s only viewable on the left side and getting low and the pedal out of the way. I’m referring to the little silver piece at about 5 o’clock…

Anyone know?

Yes perfectly normal, it's just part of the mounting bracket, don't know why it protrudes, but it does on my Trek Rail

I thought the wadgit flange was on the right side and that's the gizmo stabiliser you can see on the left??

Will it cause any health issues? Mine is the same too. I thought of painting it or placing one of my PokeyMan stickers on it. ?
