Specialized tyre prices getting out of control.

Earlier this year I was able to get Eliminator Grids’s for $75 and the black Dimond version for $85. They quickly rose $10 each shortly after. Now they are being discontinued and replaced with the new T9/T7 coming in at $90 and $110 respectively.
That’s a 25% increase in a short period of time. I really hope the new rubber gives us 25% more grip and longevity. I find it hard to believe that the old eliminators were a T7/T5 ?if that’s what they were ?‍

Has the news that bike components are now in short supply and prices across the board have risen not made it to you guys yet?

Yeah it has to a degree. I know the Trek bike prices have risen as of a few weeks ago, and I had to wait nearly 6 weeks for a SRAM XD cassette.
As for Maxxis here, the prices did drop a bit a while ago especially in their plus sizes and have not risen lately. I can get same size Maxxis for $65. It’s almost like the coin has completely flipped ?‍ Spesh is now far dearer, go figure ?‍

Have to disagree. I got a pair or Eliminator 27.5 in black diamond casing for less than £50, from specialized website.
