Lots of debate about the cost of bikes at the moment - I feel this hifi reviewer raises some interesting points in this video that read across to bikes.

I liked the bit towards the end as a good reminder. If we apply/state our thinking to someone else’s spending we don’t have their context so it’s unlikely to make sense to either us or them. Based on some of the comments on this and other forums it’s not a commonly shared view.

That back wall looks like an expensive finish to me. It is either expensive wallpaper superbly applied, or it is a hand-painted background (even more expensive). If I had the artistic skill, I would be able to do it for the cost of materials. But I'm not artistic, so I'd have to pay someone who is (££). But I do have very good wallpapering skills, so I would have to shell out hundreds of UK pounds to buy the wallpaper and then hope I don't cock it up!
