Motor with 13 tooth sprocket. General: mus with grass leaves an tree needles is a dissater. ONly chain suck, under that conditions, sometimes not possible to ride at all. To walk to find a better place. Cube and Bosch do nothing, only try to explain to me that i'm the only one with that problem. I did change sprocket, and chain.. after 500 km. Did not help at all.. Sorry to say wrong design to get more power and less battery consupten I believe.

Its an issue that has been bought up in several reviews of the motor

There are a few anti chain suck devices out there, Lapierre make a specific one for Bosch. I have one, but not fitted as winter is not here yet, I got it from Race Co in Stourbridge, but stock is always very low or non existent

How much was that?
Did you need to tap the mounting holes yourself?

Moustache also do one.

Does it drag the chain?
No idea, sorry. I don't have one yet.
It's Bosch specific but motor covers may need trimming.

When I buy a for me very expensive bike I don't want to spend a lot of money to solve contruction problems. I did try some and the only reaction: "you did work on the bike so tthre is no more garantee.

The tooth profile is not conform standard thooths, special made to guide the chain, without facing the problems come from that.

I have 15T not sure why you have 13T? is it a 650b vs 29er thing?

also though I reckon your trouser guards will be collecting a retaining crud - so ditch them if you can mine came looking like this and I have had no suck what so ever.

I went from standard 16t down to a 14t and it completely eliminated and chain suck that I use to get. Believe it was a sram narrow wide 14t, I'm currently looking for a 13t that will work

Off topic but did you notice much difference in the climbing ability or drop in speed for a given cadence as you've reduced the gearing?

Massive difference, one of the best mods I've done. I'm no longer going with the EX1 setup so looking for a 13t now
