Well first post ;) forgive me if I do something wrong :)
So here is our TWO TOWERS RIDE from Mařenka to PEKELNY - from december 29th, 35-37 km at -2 Celsius (ok) + small wind + bike speed = CCCOLLD
----------
two layers of thin gloves -> mistake :) invested in thicker shimano goretex gloves -> much better.
4 layers of clothing on top -> perfect
Short -> OK Neck protection : Must Beanie / head warmer : Must
E-Autonomy = 34km on my Merida/shimano (which was quite lower than in warmer ride)

I should clarify that its in south wales UK
the name sound like places in Brittany in France. It is very nice. I am amazed there aren't any tree.
My wife was hesitating between a new Cube and a 2020 Giant. She took the Giant finally after we got a sweet deal.

Glad you got a good deal with the bike.
The winds here in winter where the photos were taken 600 metres above sea levell can be up to 100 mile gusts so its a bit treeless.
There would have been far more large broad leaf trees couple of hundred years ago but they were felled for ship construction.

160km gusts ... this is similar to what we have in south of France (Mistral wind) Quite impossible to go out.

One lap down the hill and I was done. 3" of fresh powder snow, absolutely no traction at all. Barely made it up the short but steep hill, pushed the bike with walk assist but flat pedal shoes had no traction either :D

It’s been freezing cold up here in North Yorkshire the last few days so took advantage and went for some snow & ice rides! Slippy & slidey but luckily managed to stay upright. These ebikes are seriously great fun

Beautiful... what is the temperature?
I do not know if it is the emptiness or the texture of the snow but it give me motivation to go out :)
Hovering around freezing at the moment with varying wind. The wind was negligible when I left the house, but gusting around 30 - 40 kmph where the pics were taken.

Looks like a lot of people are bringing a knife to a gunfight. ;-)

Tires matter, a lot. I highly recommend 45NRTH Wrathchild tires with their concave studs. Run them tubeless at 8 psi front, 10 psi rear and you'll be amazed how well they'll do. They're a bit expensive but they'll last many seasons. Just be sure to buy the stud tool and a box of spare studs.

Be sure to lower your tire pressures *substantially*. I sometimes run 3-4 psi on the 4.8" tires on my fatbike. And 8-10 psi with the 3.0 plus winter tires.
