A question for 2018-19 meta power owners.

Do you have problems with dirt and rocks getting in this spot on your bike. (I’m thinking possibly a piece of foam stuffed

in there and then making a small fender to zip tie to the lower chains stays) just bought an XL and I’m trying to figure out the best way to deal with this area

I've not had anything wedge in there and be a problem, but I didn't fancy it as an ingress point or a nice little cubbby hole for transporting mud and grit.

I was trying to figure out how to get a RRP enduroguard wedged in there and tied to the chainstays. The issue has been the cables are a little tight and push it too close to the tyre - need to finesse them into a more forgiving path or find a better fitting guard.
 
No dirt problems. I thought the same thing with a mud guard, trying to glue on a thinner strip to reach down but it just didn't work with the suspension movement.
I bought an air compressor and use high pressure air to blow any cr@p out of any nooks and crannies. Cost me £100 ish but well worth it, cleans cassettes and any other hard to reach areas really easily. Simply wash bike as normal and then blast with air and it blows mud out of any areas you can't reach. I don't spray water in the hole by the way just put a thin brush in there to wet it and let the air do its job.
 
Thanks for the responses. So far I’ve stuffed a small piece of foam up in there, and I’m going to build a rear fender. will post a picture when it’s done
I used some aquarium filter foam, no more crap gets in now, I also taped over the top of the motor cover (plastic shield where the cable connections are) so most of the crude and some of the water cannot get in.
 
This is what I've done on my wife's Meta Power.

The rubber flap is stuck in place at the bottom using VHB double side tape and zip tied it the top (so you can still pull the bike to bits for servicing). To stop any mud from sneaking over the top of the rubber flap, there is a plastic mud guard mounted in the curve of the upper stay bridge. This keeps the bulk of the mud and water out of the suspension pivots as well.

Yep. I've given up trying to have bikes that look good and instead have bits of rubber and plastic stuck all over the show to protect bearings and drivetrain.
