Rail dropper post housing change

I need to change the housing for my dropper post. Do I need to take out the motor for this?
Assuming I need to take out the end of the battery holder .....?
Sorry for the questions, I would like to do it myself instead of bringing to shop. Thanks.

yes the black part. the outer part of the cable .....

Probably. You can get a Rockshox barb connector that may allow you to screw the new outer to the old and feed/pull it through that way.
