For anyone in the UK looking for touch-up paint for their frame, Spesh UK have appointed a new paint supplier, who are now listing 50ml bottles of gloss or satin paint in most colours (they tell me they haven't yet mastered Rocket Red as it's fluorescent/luminous). I've just ordered some Storm Grey for my 2020 Levo.

Good spot GDAS. ?

Just ordered some Taupe for my comp. Hadn’t had any luck finding anything until now. Thank you.

Just be aware it’ll cost £6.45 to send a 50ml pot of paint that costs £6.65 (I’m tight), and they don’t do PayPal.

Gutted no Rocket Red!

I contacted onlinepaintshop regarding the availability of Rocket Red specifically and they responded as below:

“We are concentrating on matching the standard solid and metallic colours for the time being and once these are complete and we are happy we will be moving on to the more specialist tinted lacquer finishes, flip colours and also the fluorescent finishes (which is the category that 'Rocket Red' comes into).

We have had a large amount of enquiries for this colour so it will be first in line once we have completed the standard finishes, however it will be a two, if not three layer process to achieve the colour, and the costs will be increased over the standard offering due to the nature of the colour.”

I've got a friend who managed to chip her Rocket Red Levo recently (this was before I became aware of onlinepaintshop - who don't currently do it anyway) and I bought some RAL 3026 Luminous Bright Red. It was quite difficult to get hold of, as most of the ebayers claiming to do any RAL code said it wasn't on their list.

I managed to get some from Oval Ral colour standard RAL3026 LUMINOUS BRIGHT RED FLUORESCENT at about £18 delivered. However, I don't think she's applied it yet so I can't say how close a match it is. I did wonder whether it might be more productive to wheel the bike into the nail varnish section of the nearest Boots ?

Good service from onlinepsintshop.co.uk I have to say.

Ordered Thursday night, on my doorstep when I got in from work today (Monday).

I'll be keen to hear what you think once you've applied your satin Taupe. The gloss Storm Grey I received from them is disappointingly different to the paint on my bike - it's more grey and less blue. I think I will send them some photos and see how they react.

I have ordered

Gloss clay for my Levo and Satin oak green for my sl hoping they will be spot on will send them back if not

Unfortunately they will not ship to the U.S. I would like some "Spruce" for my Levo. Anyone willing to help a brother out?

are you sure there's no supply closer to home, e.g. via Specialized US or an appointed supplier?

I came here to post this.

Last summer I bought a new (non-eMTB) bike and due to a chain failure which resulted in a snapped derailleur hanger, I ended up with some pretty significant scratches on the seat stay after owning the bike for only a few days. It's fair to say I was pretty frustrated at the time.

Since then I have been trying to find some official touch up paint and not had much luck. I had been in touch with the Specialized Concept store in Ruislip several times after seeing another thread on this forum. They were super helpful, but were not able to source any Dove Grey from Specialized.

I recently bought a new bike for my daughter and happened to ask again at my local Specialized dealer about sourcing some touch up paint. They told me that a new service had recently launched, with onlinepaintshop.co.uk having a deal in place with Specialized to supply touch-up paint based on the official Specialized Pantone colour codes.

The website says currently out of stock, but I sent an email with my details to enquire when it might be available. Two days later I received a phone call from Leo @ onlinepaintshop.co.uk. He said that they have been working on the deal with Specialized for a little while and that they are still working on the full range of Specialized colours. He said they are almost ready to go, but just in the final stages of preparation, hence the website saying currently out of stock for all paint.

Leo said that the colour I was after was one they can already produce and I was therefore able to place an order. It was ~£15 for a 50ml pot of Dove Grey Gloss shipped to me via FedEx — which I was really pleased with after spending several months trying to get hold of some. I ordered on Tuesday evening and it arrived at my home on Thursday morning (this morning).

I have the paint now and I am keen to apply it to the bike. I will provide another an update once it's on.

It's great to find somewhere I could get genuine touch-up paint, as I had been considering going the nail polish route for months.

I got the official original Specialized Storm Grey touch up (ie before Onlinepaintshop) and mine was exactly the same - disappointingly grey not blue so neither a close match. However, just had a really helpful conversation with Onlinepaintshop who recognise the difficulty with this colour and are in the process of reformulating, so should hopefully be available in the next 2-3 weeks.

Leo @ onlinepaintshop.co.uk told me they were going to find a new supplier for Storm Grey, he wasn't able to give a lead time, so I asked him for a refund which he quickly organised. I see it's still absent from the list of available colours on their site. I invested in a RAL colour chart and nothing seems to be an ideal match.

This turned out to not really be a match at all :(
I think RAL3026 Luminous Bright Red would be closer. But an even better idea might be to wheel your bike into the nearest nail varnish counter ?

Contacted a few days ago by the onlinepaintshop after my initial enquiry about Storm Grey and told it was now back in stock.

I bought the original Specialized Storm Grey which was an OK but not brilliant match so perhaps their revised formula might be better.

how was it? I’ve bought some and it’s too grey - looking at the comments this seems to have been an ongoing issue.

I didn't order. Mixed the earlier Specialized Storm Grey again but much more prolonged shaking and the match seemed closer so I'll live with it. Mostly invisiframe protection anyway and only a few chain chips on the swinging arm.
